I remember she did a lot of that with her 1989 album. She was heavily promoting it and doing all these Grammys performances and recording. I got the vibe that she was desperate for 1989 to win big at the Grammys.

Yeh there was a huuuge Grammy push for 1989, she went all out to get those votes.

I don’t personally have an issue with her submitting for Grammys, most artists do it. I think they usually don’t submit if they have beef with the Grammys. I especially don’t think she shouldn’t submit evermore just because it’s folklores “sister” (I actually don’t think their that similar but that’s beside the point). If it’s a good album, it’s a good album!

Yes I know exactly what you mean. I think it probably stems from all the negative media crap and she is just looking for that acceptance. Quite sad :(

She's still salty that Red didn't win. 1989 was crafted with AOTY in mind.
I understand wanting awards and recognition. I don't understand feeling entitled to them. Or sacrificing the integrity of your art for a Grammy (Lover was BAD).

most artists don’t change their sound at all over the years - Adele is a perfect example and she always submits her stuff to the Grammys. I don’t see it as entitled to want your work that you create to be awarded through recognition? It’s like the minimal basic standards that any artist would want to achieve so if she’s entitled then every actor or singer who submits for Grammys/Oscar’s is entitled 😂also think Evermore is a better album than folklore and actually she won’t win because folklore won last year. Imagine the backlash if she won again, it’ll be worse than the backlash after winning for 1989

Red, Reputation, Lover and Speak Now were all massively snubbed at the Grammys, it’s not like she sweeps every time

No one is entitled to a nomination each time they make an album? It's not being snubbed.

Did she submit the ATW music video for the Oscars? She's obviously trying to go for an EGOT

I didn’t say she was entitled though?! Everyone has to make a submission and they either get approved or don’t. And people who are worthy often don’t, it’s just how the Grammys are, they political and not always accurate in terms of reflecting the best music that’s been released in a year. The original comment made implied that by submitting evermore as a contender this shows that swift was or felt entitled…I don’t see how that’s true when many of her previous albums submitted have not been nominated. No artist will ever just think they’re done with wanting praise or validation once one albums does well otherwise what’s the point of anyone continuing to put music out? They want to do better each time

I actually like Me! in a guilty pleasure way. Upbeat, cheesey pop has always been my thing though.

London Boy is awful, especially the cringey spoken intro. One of Taylor's worst songs for me.
