Genuinely... choosing between songs like Cornelia St and Cruel Summer for me is like saying I prefer one of my kids over the other. Obviously the songs are not my babies (can you imagine the royalties though?) but they are both amazing in their own way.

When I last did the song sorter, which I think was before the rereleases - I had 3 songs from Red, 1 from Lover, 2 from Folklore, 2 from Evermore and 2 from 1989 so not entirely sure what that says for me .

I found it so tricky picking between certain songs and it pained me to do it. My top 3 albums at the minute are Red, Folklore and 1989.

If you look at it, it looks new to me - not stuff that’s been for sale before or was from her old website. I got some 1989 merch the first time around and none of it looked like what’s for sale now. Same with speak now - I have two T-shirts from that era and nothing like that on there.

well, it seems that this love tv is being released because it's being used in some show, like how wildest dreams tv was released for the horsey film

the 1989/speak now merch is definitely listed under a section called "old taylor" on the website

I have no idea what's going on, but if she makes us wait for months on end like she did last year, I will self-combust

also, she can legally start recording reputation tv in just 6 months now, so there's nearly an end in sight for all this torture

This Love has always been dreamy but this version just feels extra dreamy. I adore her so much.
Love that she’s releasing songs in conjunctions with movies etc further devaluing her masters

I saw a TikTok, can't find it now to share, but someone was saying Taylor once said she admires how Shania Twain went from country to pop, and that Shania released an album half of country songs and half of pop, so maybe Taylor might do the same with 1989 and speak now release at the same time or as the same album, and that's why both merch is on her site? It also said it being called old Taylor is cos reputation would then be the next one.

No but that actually makes perfect sense!! I thought we’d be getting a double album because there’s been hints absolutely everywhere but I couldn’t work out just how that would appear. Whether we’d get the alleged scrapped album as an entire vault album for 1989. She’s been dropping hints about both albums for so long now that that really does make sense.

I could see Shania Twain featuring on vault tracks for both albums too (despite not really wanting anyone to feature on Speak Now Taylor’s Version).

Yeah I got the sense from her merch being called ‘old Taylor’ that it was more about the eras being old Taylor style rather than being literal old merch. It would fit in with the idea of rep being after these two albums as well, ala the classic line in LWYMMD.

I love shania Twain, and her Come on Over album was the soundtrack to my childhood when I was like 8/9 so id love it if she featured somewhere - a proper nod to a country/pop cross over queen!
