I was really happy John won last night
Anyone know how they managed to film at the airport? Surely airports are open 24/7?
John's on the podcast with Ed Gamble for the week he won. He explains himself pretty well on there (though very slowly!)One of Gatwick two terminals was closed right up until March 2022 due to reduced demand during/post lockdown. You could hire it out for filming though: apparently a fair amount of movies and TV shows took them up on that offer, I would expect to see it a good few times in shows over the next 18 months!
It was a fun episode. Fern is so delightfully weird, I would like to see her do her live act, I'll need to keep an eye out for tickets.
Dara continues to be my favourite, he's so quick-witted in the live sections, I could watch him and Greg verbally bounce off each other all day. John Kearns was a little better this episode in that he did actually seem to be trying at the tasks, though I still don't get the appeal that he seems to have to so many viewers. I find myself getting very irritated by his extremely passive presence in the studio.
Oh god, he speaks so slowly that I had to increase the speed so Ed was sounding like a Chipmunk, and I still fell asleep to it! Don't mind John on Taskmaster but that was the most boring ep ever I think!John's on the podcast with Ed Gamble for the week he won. He explains himself pretty well on there (though very slowly!)
I know what you mean. I got into the rhythm somehow but it was frustrating!Oh god, he speaks so slowly that I had to increase the speed so Ed was sounding like a Chipmunk, and I still fell asleep to it! Don't mind John on Taskmaster but that was the most boring ep ever I think!
I didn’t even notice! I do prefer people who speak slow to fast though as I am partially deaf in one ear, so maybe that’s why! I love John, he has the makings of an iconic contestant for me.Oh god, he speaks so slowly that I had to increase the speed so Ed was sounding like a Chipmunk, and I still fell asleep to it! The separation in the studio during COVID definitely sapped the energy out of the studio bits. And the team tasks were sometimes a bit dodgy because of enforced separation. This really feels like a return to form for taskmaster this series. I’ve liked the others between 11 and now but not loved them… dunno if it was just COVID that kind of made it not work as well?
The idea of as Taskmaster Cinematic Universe is hilarious. But I'd love to see it.Anyone here watched the Horne Section TV show? It’s kind of in the Taskmaster Cinematic Universe….

Yes, all the episodes. It just should've been a whole lot better. The story was weak and very forced. The odd cameo was fun. I genuinely couldn't stop laughing at the Pea song. It should've been more along the lines if their podcast which was much better.
