I thought The Talk was supposed to be Sharon Osborne's show on Talk TV?

After initially appearing on the show five nights a week; Since she went back to the U.S, when Ozzie had covid, she only does three shows a week now.

She also doesn't seem to be the anchor of the show. All the guests present a segment of the discussion. Sitting at one end of the table also doesn't really highlight her status as the supposed anchor.

She should be sitting in the middle of that table, between the four guests and opening the topics that are being discussed.

I personally don't think she will last on The Talk.

On paper, one would think she was supposed to be the anchor but it's probably for the best that someone else does the introductions to topics because she's pretty bad at the pieces to camera, even the ones that only last 10 seconds. Pretty much everyone else who appears on there can manage much better.

She's not been on since last Wednesday, 4 shows in a row that she's been missing now. I agree with you that she won't last. As far as I'm concerned, it's not really her show but more that she was hired to sit on the end of the panel because people will recognise her in the hopes that people will watch. Sadly it doesn't seem to have worked for them in terms of attracting viewers, probably because her heyday on TV was 15 years ago.

Quite a feisty argument tonight between Julia HB & Ayesha Hazarika regarding Rwanda. Probably the first time I've seen a proper clash on the show.

To be fair, her heyday was never really a thing was it. It was mostly Ozzy.

Anyone else that cannot take to Jeremy Kyle? He always seems so smug.

Yes - a definite try-hard. He's obviously trying to act a certain way since he knows if TR were to ditch him, he'd likely never work again but after 9 months, I can kinda see through the shouty style. His show is also peppered with silly phrases, talking about his family and talking to his producers. Just not something that will engage a bunch of listeners who don't know him in real life.

And I dislike the lack of a proper introduction at the start of his show, it's pretty much always "welcome back my friends, this is JK on TalkDrive, let's head over to Cardi-P". If not a monologue, at least a solid introduction to what they'll talk about on the show would be cool.

Only really listen to drive on Fridays now with Rob Rinder who is a much more relaxed listen.

No one does smug quite like Kyle. An arrogant bully and quite happy to use people's misery to line his pockets. Then there's the way he treated his exes and his rampant gambling habit. Lovely fella ...

Something about him being able to get a good job in media again after what he did, just rubs me the wrong way too. I'm all for forgiveness, but the Jeremy Kyle show was awful TV and exploitative to those on the lower rung of society, so to speak.

It's unbelievable to me how those in media so quickly forget these things and offer up big salaries to people like him. So many other better radio presenters yet Jeremy Kyle is the one to land on his feet again.

I dont think Kylie beleives half the stuff he says.

The trail for Morgan's show always talks about vegans just need steak 🙄, is this supposed to be edgy? 🤪

Kyle has confirmed today that he's finishing on drive after this week. Going on holiday then starting a new primetime talkTV show. Still doing Friday breakfast.

Who do we think gets drive next?

I would say Kevin O'Sullivan.

I'm wondering if Kyle's new primetime show will see 'The Talk' axed and Tom Newton-Dunn's newsdesk moved to later in the evening?

The Talk was supposed to be Sharon Osborne's show, but she is hardly ever on it - for one reason, or another.

Is Piers being kept on?

Where is Sharon Osborne?

It has been weeks since she was last seen on The Talk.

She went to be with Ozzy when he got covid, then she caught it.
Not sure of the timescale but she's probably still ill.

TBH I don't think she's up to the job.
