That episode has ruined me, I can’t stop thinking about it!

I’m estranged from my mum so I think it hit me in the gut because one day she will die and I’ll have this exact situation.

i’m going to be thinking about it all day. like you said in your post above, i almost felt like i was in shock watching it.

sarah snook was incredible this ep (i mean she always is but still). the scene with her on the phone with her shaking hands and stumbling over her words was amazing in how it was the almost adrenaline rush of that situation where you have too much to say, too much to take in, and you can’t cope with any of it.

and roman being worried if logan had checked his voicemail :(

i hope this means we never see kerry again tbh.

also two tweets that got me this morning for very different reasons:

I've only managed to watch half the episode cus my child woke up, but damn. What an episode (so far). I think it had to happen though cus that's the whole point of the show? I know it's not real but surely there would be a plan in place when he dies? In a real world sense there would already be an immediate comms/market/leadership plan in place? Although that said, I think that everyone thought that he was indestructible. I assume that's what we will see play out now. Absolutely brilliant television.

I haven't read any of this thread because we're currently watching S3 episode 1 and I don't want to see any spoilers 😂 but just wanted to say... This family is awful 😭 I've never had so many conflicting emotions, I hate someone and the next minute I love them but they're so so awful 😂
We’re on S3 too so dipping out until caught up, but wanted to say this was my feeling too about them. They’re awful people but we love to see it 🙈 😂

I don’t even know where to start…. duck. That was so powerful. SPOILERS AHEAD

what really hit me was how true to life it is… one minute you’re talking and the next minute you can be dead. How the show showed the death made it so much more powerful. I feel like I’m in shock myself even though it’s only a tv show.

Same, and kudos to all the actors especially Sarah, Kieran and Jeremy. The conflict of their feelings was so well portrayed. When Kendall said he can't forgive his dad but loves him 😭and agree that Shiv is pregnant. When she said to Logan don’t leave now it was just heartbreaking. One of the best episodes of TV ever made.

ETA also love Romans arc. HIs empathy for Geri at the start and he was strong enough to see his Dad's body. Just think that voicemail might come back to haunt him. I think Kerry has Logans phone!

Someone on Reddit said that Roman appears to have Logan’s phone in his hand as he leaves the plane with the body…

i’ve seen a few people on twitter saying that too!

also so many people pointing out that the group hug between the three of them is probably their last “moment” before they start just tearing each other to shreds and i’m sad about it. i wish they would work together but i also just don’t think they’re capable of it.

roman’s arc has been one of my favourites. in the end, he’s the one who maybe loved logan in the purest way (or who really didn’t want anything more from him beyond being loved back) and it made beautiful sense that he was the one to see the body. i worry for him though as i think he’s the weak link in the siblings if they do start going after each other.

i also always thought he was logan’s favourite (as much as logan had favourites!)

AMAZING episode. Every single thing was in point. We knew it was coming but loved that it was just on top of them all of a sudden like boom it's happening. So sad, I thought it showed the balancing act of dealing with private grief vs running a public company. Agree though that a plan would be in place re announcements etc but still huge level of coordination required. The actors playing the kids all incredible. Loved seeing flashes of season 1 kendall, I just think he is so smart and for me the obvious choice for CEO. Felt for Roman too and agree that he is the purest behind it all. Shiv also excellent and capable. I just don't know what will happen now, so interested to see. Agree would worry about the voicemail from Roman and also Tom continued to be such a slimey self centered prick while on the phone to Greg. Let the infighting begin!

Yes this crossed my mind too, it seemed almost like a goodbye hug to being some sort of united front as well as comforting each other. I had this mad thought that Willa gets the lot 😂 and the wedding and death coinciding is some sort of symbolism for that.

it definitely seemed like a goodbye hug to me too :( (and shiv leaving with tom, kendall standing alone, roman going to logan’s body) - i think that’s the last we’ll see of them “together” for a long while sadly.

i could honestly cope with willa and connor sort of “winning”. i love connor! these last two episodes have really rammed home how alone he feels and he was almost an afterthought to being told about logan. he never liked me, i never got to make him proud :(

the saddest thing about succession for me really is that none of the kids have the capabilities to run the company (because logan never trusted them with it really) and i also don’t think any of them ever wanted it, they just wanted him to accept and be proud of them in some way. i wonder if that’s going to play into the next few episodes.

I watched it this morning hungover and I was not prepared 😂 dunno why I thought Succession would ever be nice hangover viewing but I didn’t think I’d spend the hour crying and shouting SOMEONE GET CONNOR every 5 minutes. It was epic. The way they didn’t actually show Logan for most of it. Amazing. Don’t think it’s been commented on - what was he doing in the bathroom? Shagging Kerry?

i’m glad it wasn’t just me yelling SOMEONE GET CONNOR - it made me so mad :( i wonder how shiv will feel now about ignoring those calls from tom :(

this shot was beautiful too:

I bet this is the real S4 trailer that they just couldn’t show. For us Kerry haters looks like she’s carted off quickly

karl absolutely reading tom for filth omg 🤣

i’m even more hyped now but even more convinced that all the sibs are basically in over their heads.

the more i think about the last ep the more i think connor is one the truly wins. he’s married to a woman who cares for him, even if she doesn’t romantically love him, they both put their cards fully on the table about their relationship, he went ahead with the wedding on the day that his father (who always dismissed him) died. i am a connor fan account at this point.
