I think Shiv just doesn’t care about clothes at all - her focus all the time always is on the machinations of the power in her family. I think the suits were exactly as you say, because there was a distinct step up from the scruff bag of episode 1 series 1.

She does evening wear really well - although the dress for Kendall’s party wasn’t right for the vibe but again, she doesn’t know doesn’t care.

I think it probably does act to show that she doesn’t match with or fit in with those around her in that male dominated corporate environment. Even the other women in it blend in, she seems to be kept standing out for a reason
 
that was so draining.

The 180 that Roman did from his normal self was simply breathtaking.

Shiv’s face and flinch at the end when she realised.

Brian Cox being Brian Cox as usual.

If it were BB or GOT, I would be itching for the next one, but I need time to recover and let that all sink in.
 
I've just see the nomination for the Golden Globes ...

Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong up for Best Actor and Kieran Culkin and Sarah Snook up for Best Supporting Actor.

Two things: 1) How do you differentiate between who is main and supporting in this series? I'd have thought it was more of an assemble piece.
2) How did Matthew MacFayden not get nominated for anything? :mad:

When you think of MM in this and then him in Spooks, Criminal Justice and Ripper St, he really is outstanding.

Tbh, they all are.

i read a really interesting twitter thread on this exact topic yesterday:



everyone in this show is off the charts but HOW did matthew macfadyen not get a golden globe nom?! he’s been so good this season.

of everything in the episode it was somehow roman saying “i don’t know……. love?” and then logan throwing it right back in his face that got me. those poor roy children have no clue how to show love or how to accept it. this show is perfection 👌🏻
 
Just finished it. What an ending! That moment when Shiv clocks what has happened - beautiful, golden, television 👌

“What am I gonna do with a soul anyways?”

“If Roman marries her, he’ll invade France”

What am I going to do without this show until the next season?!

I really enjoyed the dynamic of the siblings coming together. Long may that continue (I know it won’t 😬)

That made me LOL ... Tom and Gregg get the best lines.

Connor is very underrated. Loved it when he lost it with Kendal about being the eldest son.
