I find with The Traitors that I'm obsessed with it when it's on, but as soon as it ends I forget about everyone on it. That series already feels like old news, and it was only a few months ago, it will seem ancient by September. And I fear casting someone who is only known for a reality TV series is a slippery slope all the way down to Jake Quickenden 😱

I can see why they'd consider booking Mollie, but between her & Dave being rumoured, I'm really hoping for some actual celebs next. Not talking A-listers obviously, but some soap stars, singers, athletes & B-tier TV presenters will do.

The thought makes me laugh, mostly because of the way a bizarrely large percentage of DS posters clutched their pearls and tsked over Janette going back to work doing 30 min interviews twice a week 2 months after having a baby. I imagine the thought of a 6 month pregnant pro getting flung around like this would send them into a coma. 😂

 
I feel like I'm the only one who'd miss Nadiya if she left. Granted, she is a lot more memorable in pro numbers than she is with a celeb, but she's also not had much of a chance other than with Davood.

I'd like to see Michelle get a chance too. I remember she did a Q&A on Instagram the day she was announced as a new pro and I thought she came across as lovely and intelligent there, but then quite wooden and cold on ITT. I imagine now she's had some time to settle in and get past nerves being in front of a camera she should be alright. Still think it's a bit odd they didn't give her a Christmas partner though. Then again, Nancy was benched and no Christmas partner her first two years as well and then she got 2 semi-finalists and Nadiya got someone pretty good her first year and then has mostly had duffers and the bench since so I guess it doesn't really mean much.

Karen and Dianne would be my two picks for the bench, no way that'll happen though.

I thought Mollie might have been a possibility for Strictly a few months back, but yeah, it feels like we've all forgotten about the s2 Traitors contestants now and moved on.

We all know Strictly like their celebs to have another job title other than 'reality TV star', so I guess with Mollie they could say she's a model too, but the others?

Yeah, that's how they can get around her just being a reality game show contestants in a similar vein to documentary filmmaker Zara McDermott.

Despite having not one iota of interest in any of the Traitors contestants once the show is over, I could at least understand someone who brought lots of game and personality to the show. Molly was barely featured until the last few episodes because she offered absolutey nowt during the entire thing.

Yeah, she only really got airtime when there was about 5 of them left, and even then she was just kind of portrayed as the pawn in Harry’s game. Harry’s done a few tv appearances so I’d have thought he’d be the one they signed up, but I’m of the opinion that winners of reality shows like this don’t need to peruse tv careers! Take the Instagram followers and move on (unless they are actually aspiring presenters/have the personality for tv). I’d have thought Olivia Atwood would’ve singed up at some point but since they had Zara last year probably not for a while.

This is exactly how I feel about it.
If Strictly is going down the route of casting reality TV runners-up, then it’s safe to assume that the negativity of the last few years has whittled the pool of willing contestants down to nearly nothing.

I don’t think it’s true, though. It’s either zero-effort clickbait, or it’s Mollie’s publicity team trying to make her appear to be ‘in demand’.
 
I still reckon Danielle Harold will sign up, as she’s working her way round the reality shows. She’d be perfect for Kai, and they already know each other from Celebrity Hunted. The female detective on that would also be good, her name escapes me, but she’s very glamorous.
Laura Jackson, a tv presenter, is also a strong possibility, as she went to Strictly Semi final with AJ last year ( she’s good friends with her and Fleur) and did Friday panel too.
