Love that we're all feeling Heather Peace for Luba too 😉
 
I’m now at the stage where if Su Pollard and Vito doesn’t happen I’ll be gutted.

This was lovely, glad JoJo thanked John too. I know some people felt John went too far with his comments after the show but it was a huge thing they did together and must have been incredibly intense.

Oops sorry that was supposed to be this clip of JoJo talking and Frank Skinner saying how amazing he and John were

If I remember correctly it was filmed in march last year, which is why it’s non pro tour dancers involved

I'm in America so I'm missing the whole story and the context and all that - but do you think Johannes' partnership with John was his big breakthrough? And the reason he's got Kinky Boots (and his hugely successful tour? at least I assume it is?)

Seems like he was just putter-stuttering along with the matronly types - and then WOW! And I wonder if his partnership with Annabel would have gone as well (and be pushed by tptb as much) had he not had that wildly successful partnership with John?

And I may be way way off. I keep thinking of what he said, he'll be back on Strictly this year but in a different capacity (I think that's how he put it). The bench?

Somewhat. He was definitely an instant hit his first season with Catherine, but I think that was more down to his charisma (and a couple of the pro dances) than their partnership. Then there was his fairly lacklustre outing with Caroline. I do think if he'd had a third 'meh' partnership in 2021, then the public would have lost interest. The partnership with John definitely was the push he needed to get to the next level.
 
Yeah it pushed him to the next level. There was so much attention round it and it helped that John was also a really good dancer. He was able to really show what he could do (the pirates paso for example). Whereas with Ellie T and an Annabel it was more about what a lovely partner/therapist he was.
