And nobody, least of all the celeb who has just completed their dance needs to hear 'I threw Ann Widdecombe across the floor just there'. Yawn.
Give them proper feedback. He should write down basic words beforehand if necessary, and select the appropriate ones when required, so that he uses actual words not 'bish bash bosh'and [arms flung wide, mouth working soundlessly] while people wonder what the hell he is trying to say. He must have a good knowledge of dance,
he must have a fairly decent knowledge of feedback phrases after all his years there. Half the time he looks and sounds like he belongs on the muppet show. And at least the muppets are appealing and funny.
When you look at how others like Katya or Gorka for example work with the celebs who are, shall we say, lacking in talent, it's a huge skill. It's not about about making a jeer of anyone. Really with the revamp of Strictly, (such as it was), and the departure of two pros under a cloud, there should have been training for the judges too, to ensure that it's a good experience. Nobody should leave, feeling they were jeered at or bullied. Seems like fairly basic common sense.
