Yes they are so patronising. If you say anything slightly negative they say "YOU trying doing that with a blindfold, see how you do." Well obviously somebody with sight putting on a blindfold will struggle. Chris has been blind for 20 years, it's his life, not just for Strictly. Obviously he's still at a disadvantage, and he's doing well, but it's his life that he manages with everyday, not a novelty(blindfold)
I saw one guy on twitter who is blind tweet that he finds the blindfold thing incredibly patronising and some of the reactions to Chris make him think that people don’t expect them to be able to do anything at all

This is exactly how it comes across, patronising and almost ableist in assuming blind people can do nothing independently. Exactly the opposite of what Chris is trying to show!
 
I hope Pete goes all the way. He's clearly not the best dancer but since the judges haven't judged on dance ability this far, why should the public? He's improved massively, he's working hard, he supports dog charities. Since our Jamie has been robbed, I'll vote for Pete every week now.
