In person at the show last night it just seemed like they were going through the motions- you know what I mean? Lovely together and when they came out to do their dances, everyone in the crowd went ‘ahhh’.
But yeah, zero point in analysing the body language of an Italian. They could literally be dry humping someone and just be their friend 🤣

Him and Robbie are surprisingly hot together, he’s always holding his hand in photos too. I remember last year when he posted him sitting on his lap as well, very cute.

The thought of that makes me feel slightly nauseous. When Brendan’s partner was out of DOI for a week due to injury and he danced with another man he was quick to point out that was the only reason why. It’s like today’s dancers are another species to some of the old ones (smarmy Gio and cheesy Neil aside).

Well, I met a friend today who is a passive strictly watcher (her daughter loves it, she’s not overly fussed). After thinking I had no-one to go watch Strictly with this year, the traitor revealed she’d been to see the show last night with some family 😒😒😂 She had a little rave about the show, said it was so much better than she expected & then said ‘I thought you said Nikita was straight - are you sure? He didn’t stop touching Layton all night, we thought maybe they were a thing’ .. ahhh sweet non invested viewer 😂

I think if Layton was female none of the papers would be talking and Ellie and Bobby (apart from the ones Mrs Brazier has paid to).

100%. I said this during the show.. if it wasn’t obviously clear Nikita has always had girlfriends & easy to conclude he’s straight, the press would have had a field day with them. They are and were more tactile & flirty than any of the couples in past couple years. But it’s just as cute from a friendship perspective, they are just delightful ❤️

Oh absolutely if Layton was female. No doubt about it. For me, it was less about the touching and more about the looks - which I never saw between E&V - I put it down to a platonic crush. Think Nikita was totally dazzled by Layton's talent and charisma.
