I do like that they would have replaced Nikita with Nadiya and not Neil though 😈

It was like that years back, they had most pros paired up with both Neil and chloe on the bench as a back up since then the number of benched pros just gets bigger.
Last year at least 4 pros weren't paired.

Harsh as it is if they needed to freshen things up top of the let go list should be gio, karen, dianne, Neil and potentially luba purely because she hasn't had a great run so far.
Don't really know enough about Michelle yet.
 
They only expanded their roster because they're too afraid to let pros go nowadays (why?), but equally need at least a couple of younger newbies (otherwise you'd end up with almost everyone 35 or over in the next year or two). Nadiya was benched last year presumably to give Lauren a go, but 10 years ago, a pro with her track record would have just got the axe, like Katya Virshilas & Iveta before her.

I agree. It really is time for a proper refresh. I’m still hoping Pasquale will come in, even if just for a couple of series. I know he’s probably too old but it will really shake up the male pros as P will be gunning for a 6th win in a row.

If he wins a 6th time (whichever version he does), that would officially equal Derek Hough's record of most wins in the franchise!

I would agree with your list although I’d like to see Luba given a chance with a contender. Michelle seems nice enough but we have barely seen her and have no clue about her character. I’d like to see how Lauren and Jowita progress.

I think the only female I would be really sad to see go is Katya as she is more creative than most of the others altogether.

The males have had more recent fresh blood but I wouldn’t be bothered by Neil, Gio, Gorka or Graz (as adorable as he is, he isn’t the strongest choreographer and this would be his 7th year) going.

Pasquales alliance with Gio puts me off him 🤨

He will equal the amount of wins, but Dereks wins definitely hold more merit imo. Not saying Pasquale isn’t an unbelievable pro but the shows he’s appeared on are significantly less competitive than DWTS US and Strictly.
 
I wonder if Katya might move on - hope not. I would shake up the female pros. If Katya stays - keep her, Jowita, Nancy and Lauren. If Amy is back, she may need to be ‘benched’ for health reasons - take it easy on her body but still dance. The female pros, it wouldn’t be too much of loss if majority went. Ideally an Oti type female pro - dynamic.

Definitely want to have Katya for a bit longer, though I'd hope she eventually quits whilst still ahead and doesn't get stale like Karen & Gio. She might be good for a choreography role behind the scenes when she stops being a pro.
 
Turns out Ellie got two tattoos yesterday - the aubergine/bee... and a glitterball wearing a cowboy hat and cowboy boots! Her questionable decision-making continues :oops:

I think even if Neil is released from the bench and dancing duties he will still be around doing the background stuff with choreographing and helping with them train and stuff. He seems to have made a role for himself there.

i hope JoJo stays and I hope he gets another Ellie-type celeb where he can just relax without having to be all sorts of therapists.

In fact, can we have a cast of celebs who are just doing it for the fun of it, not to ‘get over’ a traumatic life event or ‘highlight‘ a cause

I would be heartbroken if Katya left. I know the day will come, sometime, of course.
I think she would never allow herself to become stale though.

That’s the thing with Katya, she might be one of the longer serving pros now but she is still one of the most creative by a mile. I think her and Nikita are the most creative exciting choreographers and I always look forward to seeing their creations.
