Strictly Come Dancing 2024 #13

I know it's very serious but this comment made me laugh. Doris from Swindon, look at your life, look at your choices! put down the firebomb and go and stan Neil instead.
Come on now, there is no need to hit back like that with such an awful alternative.

Well, this was certainly an unexpected twist in the Strictly controversies.

Janette has done an interview with the Sun. She says pretty much what you'd expect about all the Gio and Graz stuff, but this is a bit...messed up imo.

I know it wasn't entirely her fault, but how did Janette end up being the wronged party when Will was the one with a very valid point about a lack of duty of care? (also, side-eyeing the 'we are really good friends' when Will pretty much said she's barely been in contact with him since it happened).

I wonder if it even occurred to her that she could have stuck up for him more than she did

I go back and forth on whether Janette is actually nice or a bit of a fake, this makes me think the latter.

Interesting - you're right, he said they were hardly in touch. I imagine Janette is one of those effusive people who has 500 'really good friends' though.

This is interesting:
“I’ve tried to steer clear,” she sighs. "It’s complicated and I’m a bit of a girl’s girl. I just don’t know. They were both really great friends and I feel very saddened by everything that’s happening, not just to them but to the [celebs] involved. It’s such a messy time right now…

I don't think her and Graz were close at all, but Gio was very close to her and Aljaz for ages (Aljaz was 'his brother' etc). But that all seemed to stop quite a while ago.

I think she genuinely means well, but is just quite superficial and can't see past her brand of slightly toxic positivity. I wonder if it even occurred to her for a second that she could have done things differently, and perhaps should be the one apologising, not Will

I’ve always suspected her to be a bit of a twit. She grifted her way through Strictly despite having zero ballroom acumen, her gurning attention-seeking in the Clauditorium made me want to stab my own eyes out, and the twee Disney gubbins is stomach-churning in an adult.

Oh, and let’s not forget the lies in Hello or OK or somesuch about a quiet Christmas at home with Aljaz when she’d actually broken lockdown and gone to America without him.

edit: and I’ve just remembered that she tried hawking herself as a life coach or something after Strictly, didn’t she? 🙄
