I really don't get the Rylan love. I was glad when he left It Takes Two.

I find him a bit irritating but I do think he was great on ITT - warm and funny.

I loved his friendship with Matt Goss and was really moved by their recent podcast about the loss of Matt’s sister.

IMO a much better combination than he and Rob Rinder (RR a little self important for me).

I guess it could have been filmed a while ago though - no idea. She did say they'd been together for 8 years so hopefully haven't split.

He did post something with Nancy in last week, on his other insta, Nancy put it in her insta story, a little video of her in Italy. So my guess is they are still together.

I really want to watch this year but after the revelations that’s they’ve been covering up their dancers being abusive to contestants and them covering up for noncey Huw Edwards, I just don’t feel right supporting them

It's so conflicting isn't? Last year Strictly brought me so much joy when I was going through one of the toughest years of my life. That all feels tainted now.

I would not say so *if* they make necessary changes and deal with the complaints properly. If this crisis has actually sparked change, that's a good thing imo

I'm quite excited about Chris McCausland.

Did anyone see him in Scared of the Dark? He came across really well on that imo. Very kind and patient.

I think he’s about 5’9 so a good height for Katya. Possibly a bit too short for Lauren (although she managed with Krishnan) and too tall for Jowita. I think Katya’s the one they’d trust to put with a blind contestant though, given her standard of teaching and choreography.

I think he'll provide a lot of humour, I'm really looking forward to seeing him on the show. He's a great first announcement, it's probably all downhill from here

Yes she would be great for Chris but I’d actually like to see Katya coupled with John Travalta this season, she deserves it after the past few years where she worked so hard but the fates went against her.

I think you mean 'box-ticking wokeness'!! Presumably these people will be calling on Rose to hand back her title..

Have seen comments on DS about Dianne getting Chris - I think she might struggle to get him to execute her patented 'running away' and 'lying on the ground looking at each other' moves. Katya seems the best bet but Chris might prefer someone else.

I feel EXACTLY the same so I won't be watching this year I'm afraid. It just feels so false and seedy to me now
