I presume you don't think I have any sympathy for him because I most certainly do not. 🤬 None whatsoever.

My post was agreeing with a previous poster who said he will try to spin a story about being suicidal. He has shown no remorse just me me me, and is obviously an extremely manipulative individual.
No not at all, just building on your post saying his family were watching him etc. Even if they are having to watch him it's all down to his actions.
Personally I loathe the abusive tactic of threatening suicide (dv survivor)

I think the earlier word to him from the producers didn't help as clearly he seems to think 'why are you making such a silly fuss you weren't that bothered last time'

Everyone in the industry will know someone who has been on it and be aware of the reality behind the scenes.

A friend of a friend was a contestant a few years ago: they were ‘persuaded’ to do it as a bbc employee, very much did not enjoy their time on the show, and were clear that if any of their colleagues were offered the gig and asked their advice, they’d be reluctant to recommend it. And that was them being somewhat diplomatic.

Well we can rule out Chris Hollins
And that ghoul Dan Walker
I’m going for lovely lovely Carol - she’s too pure for that experience
---
Yeah I mentioned earlier Charlotte Hawkins was sat next to Richard while talking about it but I can’t see anything that suggested she chipped in to offer her opinion as someone who had done the show
Quite possibly the dullest contestant to ever grace the floor

Amazing how Amanda is apparently responsible for this too 🤣

Giovanni drops his toast butter side down.

He raises his fist and screams into the nothingness that is his life

AMANDAAAAAAAA!

Am I the only person with absolutely zero interest in the pro’s own tours? What are the audiences to justify so many of them?

I went to see JoJo's earlier this year and my sister took me to see Karen and Gorka's Firedance last year for my birthday. Both were incredible. Without the burden of a celeb trying to learn they can really let loose. When Gorka doused himself in water and took his top off during one of the dances, the middle aged women including me were like feral cats being shown a fish bone. Genuinely surprised he made it out of the venue alive.

Yes, she left a supportive comment on Zara's last post. Ellie liked it too, as did Carlos and Nikita.

If we presume/hope the pros knew nothing about this - given that Zara said everything was fine and Graz will have minimised it to an accident or one-off mistake - they must be quite shellshocked and unsure how to respond. The early mention in the Mail story of other celebs knowing seems to have disappeared too.

Wow, Nikita solo tour, interesting! mustn't be doing pro tour. Not sure 'Midnight Dancer' is any better than Red Hot and Randy'
So that's: Karen and Gorka, Dianne and Vito, Amy and Carlos, Nikita alone. Presumably not Kadiya now. Anyone else?? Anton probably. Johannes touring but in KB not his own show.

Shut up and take my fucking money Nikita! Please don't wear any clothes!

You never know, Midnight Dancer isn't far off Red Hot and Randy in sounding like a porno 😁 It also makes me want to sing Tina Turner 🎙

Just had a thought regarding the chaperones for this series, because Rose had her BSL interpreter with her during training with Giovanni back in 2021, does that potentially explain why their partnership was particularly wholesome? I can’t imagine Rose took any messing from Gio either, but maybe that’s why he seemed on his best behaviour.
I’m so conflicted about the chaperones thing because yes it’s a good thing on paper, but maybe the BBC shouldn’t hire pros/celebs who are complete arseholes?

It's been mentioned about the interpreter being with her, but it's also been said that she wasn't always present.
I think Giovanni knew he had the winner and managed to behave accordingly. I agree re not hiring arseholes, but unfortunately as has now been revealed, Graziano, for example, fooled lots and lots of people. I think the chaperone idea will hopefully protect both parties.

I definitely fell for Graziano’s act. It’s scary isn’t it?
It’s supposed to be a light hearted entertainment dance show. I’m a massive Strictly fan but it all seems so tainted now.

I think as well, he may have just been lovely to Rose? Everyone always says in situations like this (a.k.a. Shirley) well they are lovely to me so no they'd never do it, but most horrible people are nice to some people aren't they? Or if someone does something wrong once, twice or whatever, it doesn't mean they do every time (not justifying the times they do, but it's just a truth), like even Graz could have been nice 90% of the time, so some people if they experienced that alone, well their experience would be good. Gio might have been fine when he particularly got on with people, or he felt they were competent or good listeners, or whatever manner of reasons people have for picking who is deserving of their temper and who isn't.

Yeah I know exactly what you mean. There’s definitely been some pros who are good to ‘good’ partners and couldn’t give a shit about others. Aliona is springing to mind. She’d be very engaging with partners like Jay McGuinness and Matt Baker and then really cold to Tony Jacklin.

This is apparently the schedule for this year. See they’re unfortunately still both movie week and musicals week 🙄
They really need to change it up! Just not with the mad BBC Theme Tune week they did 😂 I’m sure they did an ‘Around The World’ week a few years ago which was good! Dancing With The Stars US seem to do a themed week every week!

And in Graziano's case, I would bet anything he didn't give Kym Marsh, for example, any crap. He wouldn't dare, I'd say. He saw Zara as an easy target unfortunately.

It's right out of the abusers handbook isn't it, leave and I will hurt myself. In this case Graz and his team are trying to pressurise people into shutting up, making them fear they could be responsible for any actions he takes.
Everything he has done since the news broke seems to confirm this man is just a typical abuser, he's nothing special at all, he's just the same as every other abuser who think it's ok to harm women because they are 'passionate'.
