Was at the matinee in Belfast today. Must say it was incredible. Videos on twitter do not do it justice.
Tyler’s lifts were really impressive, Dianne’s head looked like it’d hit the floor, obviously didn’t but that takes some major strength from both. Him and Dianne have such an energy about them on stage and I thoroughly enjoyed them.
Molly, again, amazing. Quickstep was one of my favourite dances of the series and it did not disappoint. Thought her paso was the best “staged” overall. The lights and pyros and extra dancers were magnificent.
I was convinced Will would win as he was getting a huge reaction from the old dears. I definitely think he comes across better live than on tv. Enjoyed his jive. Overall way too much chat of his
for my liking.
Fleur’s samba was just as brilliant live as on tv. Didn’t rate her cc on tv but it was a bit better on tv than it was live. Think I said it when it was on the show but it would be very impressive if she was singing too but on its own it was a lot of standing in one spot.
I loved both of Ellie’s performances. They showed photos of them skydiving which I didn’t realise they did. Her charleston dress broke towards the end though. Nikita’s belfast accent was tragic but hilarious nonetheless. (yes he is even more beautiful in person)
Enjoyed Helen’s quickstep but I love them and I love the song. Her cc was actually impressive live (albeit a lake of Gorka). The crowds reaction was huge, like 10x louder than any other. She got a 30 for it and honestly the atmosphere was like no other. She did say something about “my ex husband ised to play for ireland so I have many jokes that are far too inappropriate for a wednesday afternoon”
Already a fan of Hamza’s american smooth but the extra dancers really enhanced it. The salsa was beyond amazing live. Their energy was like nothing else. And he’s such a sweetheart in real life
Helen won. Hamza and Jowita second. Helen dedicated the glitterball to Molly and got her to lift it with them which I loved. She said to “remember her name because she will be big” and loads of other lovely things it was really sweet to watch
