I reckon quite a few over the years have been let go and have said it was their decision to save face. Of the recent departures, Kevin, Oti & AJ all obviously chose to leave. Anton & Janette obviously were offered other roles. Pasha & Aljaž? I'm not so sure about them. I definitely feel like Pasha was pushed out and they let him have one last year with a ringer to leave on a high. Chloe was also ditched alongside Brendan and I feel like Cameron could have the same fate as her.

There wasn't a drama when Erin, Kristina, Karen Hardy, Ian or Brendan left around the same age as Karen. I actually think having a 40-something female pro would be good (more age diversity in general would be good) but I don't think Strictly should be obliged to keep Karen just because of her age.

Anton will always be an exception to the rule. I doubt any other male pro will ever be on the show past 45.

Put it in the Louvre (his facial expression, the caption..). If Hello Fresh, Zebel, or Actimel ever get their hands on Vito, I'll be gutted (though his acting skills would enhance their #ads more than Gio)

I got the impression that the Anton and Gio Go To Scilly programme was due to be aired either just before or roundabout Strictly time last year … in which case it would make more sense to have Rose pop up as a cameo. The fact it’s been bumped back 4 or 5 months from the autumn to spring schedule makes it a bit more meh 🤷‍♀️

I saw the pictures on twitter at the time and it looks like Gio visits his and his sisters dance studio to show off the glitterball and do the whole "where it all started" thing. I can see why Rose popping up, probably bringing the glitterball, to help celebrate would be scripted in that case.

Different rules apply for men … it’s annoying but true. Even so, Ian left because of the first dance troupe fiasco and didn’t do too badly out of the ITT gig. I still think Brendan was let go because of his history with and backchatting to new head judge Shirley and James was just, well James. Erin and Kristina left of their own accord (Erin’s whole last series was a complete ‘right, I’m off then‘ tribute to Monkseal’s Erin’s Island). I do remember some press around the time that Karen left about her being got rid off because she was ‘too old’ … so I guess that’s not a road they would want to go down again.
I do think if anyone has a right to be aggrieved at how Strictly treated them, it would be Chloe. It was obvious from start to finish they didn’t really want her anyway and apart from a pity Christmas Special it was 2 years of not a lot.

i don’t think that this Karen should be kept because of her age … but I don’t think she should be given the elbow because of it, either.
 
Tyler really is giving us the content, even content we really do not need!

Kai, Nikita and Robbie (in his underpants) and I'm thinking what are the lads up to now. Then Neil appears with legs and tattoes on show. :eek:

Loved Tyler's laugh at the end of his vid of Ry-Vito in his half undressed state. RyVito we love you more. 😁

Well that’s a relief- I was thinking I was possibly going to sit through 3 hours of it and not even see her. Although the sound of them hiking and having (insincere) heart to hearts around campfires in double-breasted suits did promise a few laughs.

Tyler and the rest of the boys need to stop trying to make sexy Neil happen, we don’t want it. Send him out for some coffees or something.

Vito still giving us quality, he eats loads of greens, doesn't eat Nutella pudding nor coca-cola, but just survives on water. Anton is refuting it all. 🤣

Gorka and Mia are absolutely adorable, Mia chasing after her Papa. 🥰

Came across Nadiya at the Radio Times do with Dan Walker. She failed to get the dress code memo, looked very much overdressed for the occasion, judging by the rest of the attendees attire. The 'dress' was quite revealing with everything hanging out, not a good look, support required, what was she thinking? 😲

Another of Neil's pranks going down on his stories. (sorry had to mention him again)🥴 Vito asleep on the floor and the lads building a stack of baskets on top of him. Vito the butt of all jokes, he takes it well though. 🤡
