Yeah don't see it with Katya either tbh. I like Karen but I don't see TPTB giving her a contender.

I just hope that Nigel is with a pro who can do him justice and has the right style for him. It would be a nice change for either Katya or Karen, we've seen Katya with enough comedy acts now and enough of the relatively quirky/unconventional types with Karen. And they were good with more mature actors with dance ability before in Joe & Charles.

LadyLav said yesterday that the male celebs are following Michelle & Nadiya but not Lauren & Luba, that likely gives us a hint as to who is getting a celeb - big mistake on TPTB's part if true. If they think Michelle is going to be Oti 2.0, I reckon they're in for a shock. :confused:
 
I'm still holding out hope that Michelle will be a surprise (not just due to Cypriot loyalty, of course...) She's not new to teaching as she runs a lot of classes and she did stand out in a few dances. I don't think it's fair to write her off when she hasn't even had a chance yet.
 
God I didn't know she was an anti-vaxxer! I felt very bad for her with her husband dying, but I do wonder if it's almost too soon. I lost my mum in May, and can still barely talk about her to strangers without welling up. But maybe she thinks it will distract her.

I see Nigel is big into meditation looking at his insta - wonder if he will end up being a Greg Wise type - hotness cancelled out by being overly serious and worthy...

Annabel Croft's twitter likes over the summer were a raging bin fire of anti Vax, pro-Laurence Fox and Lee Anderson stuff. I just had a look and she seems to have cleaned them up just in time for Strictly 🥴
