Sorry I didn’t mean to use her diagnosis as a dig, I just hope she has all the support. I didn’t realise they were on hunters so I fully admit wrongdoing here and stand corrected. I can see how inappropriate my comment was, were all human. I just hope she gets through it, she’s a fantastic dancer and seems a lovely girl x

She found the lump the day before her honeymoon… how awful. Her positivity is so admirable considering how much she has already suffered with her health. The article says there is a second lump too. I really do hope she makes the quickest recovery possible so she can go back to enjoying life with her new husband😢😢

Poor Amy, really feel for her and her family. Seeing almost all of her former strictly partners attending her wedding highlighted how kind and well-regarded she is on the show.
I think the only one that couldn’t attend her wedding was Karim and i’m pretty sure that was because he was on tour, they still seem to be pretty close. Brian, JJ & Tom all went which like you said shows how well liked she is.

So kind of her to invite them too🥺I think it’s lovely that a lot of the pros are on strictly for their passion of dance and to make friendships along the way instead of a pay check.

they have noted it to be stage three, I do believe if anybody can do it she can but doesn’t take away from the worry and stress she must feel, her poor family too. Not to mention, the effect any treatment may have regarding her chrons? I am no medical professional so not sure if it would interfere but she’s suffered so much for a young age, I just truly truly hope this all goes as smoothly as possible for her and she’s back to her stomping ground of the strictly dance floor ❤️

I think the lump is grade 3 but the article said they don’t know the stage of cancer yet. I thought it was the same thing but apparently not xx

My understanding is that grade 3 is faster growing/more likely to have spread to surrounding tissue than grades 1 and 2 so more likely to be treated with chemo to target the surrounding tissue and clean up any dodgy cells, as well as surgery to remove the actual lump(s). Grades 1 and 2 would be more likely to be resolved by surgery and/or radiotherapy.

This is correct. The grades are essentially how ‘abnormal’ the cancer cells are from normal cells and how quickly they could grow/spread. The stages are how much it has grown and spread to different parts of the body. Hence why it may take longer to determine the stage

Someone of Amy’s age is most likely to have grade 3 because they still have all the hormones slooshing round.
As I saw somewhere that her mum had breast cancer, but later in life, I assume her twin will be being tested for BRCA.
