I'm out if it's Janette all week and I suspect it might be. They don't really need 2 hosts.

I am not sure Janette would want to do 5 nights a week with a new baby. I am hoping they will bring in someone else - please not AJ, Aljaz, or Joe Sugg.
I am guessing they would want someone with broadcasting/presenting experience rather than just another ex-pro, to balance out Janette who is still (ahem) on a steep learning curve. So in that sense any decent presenter would do.. Alison Hammond?
 
I’m sad to see Rylan go, I thought he was a fab presenter and great at getting the best out of the contestants. I’m not a fan of Zoe Ball so I didn’t watch it for a long time. Depending when Janette has her baby, it could be her but I think it’ll be Joanne Clifton and/or Kevin. Or even worse - Kevin and Stacey 😳. And that’ll be when ITT and I will part company again 😂.

I saw Giovanni’s show and you know what, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. He was quite funny and took the piss put himself a bit and Lauren was amazing - brilliant dancer but she came out before the show started and chatted to folk in the audience which I thought was a nice touch. Giovanni said he’s been asked back for this year’s show but Lauren hasn’t had “the phone call” yet.

Pro tour to look forward to, hoping to learn more about Carlos, Nancy, Vito and Nikita in particular.

And Neil a dad eh, deary me!

Alison Hammond has Bake Off now so many viewers might see her twice in one evening if she got ITT. I think a couple of years ago, she'd have been a good shout but adding ITT to her shows now would maybe be overexposure.
 
Ah, gutted Rylan is leaving, but he is getting a bit high profile for ITT now I guess. I reckon Janette will stay on 2 nights a week. Pls Strictly, get an experienced TV presenter in who can manage live telly and not an ex contestant with a lot of insta followers because you think that will get you more younger viewers (it won't) (yes, I mean Joe Sugg)

Another thought - if Janette takes a month or so of maternity leave, will they get Aljaz to stand in for her?

@LennyBriscoe always nice to see you back. Please update about the pro tour when you see it as I can't go this year 😩

You need someone who can interview people and be prepared to ditch the script if necessary. when It’s done right, presenting looks like a piece of cake. When it’s not, it looks like Janette and proves just how hard it is to make something look easy. Am so sad Rylan has moved on. Someone like Gethin could be a good placeholder. (friend has just said CFP. We are now not speaking. she doesn't know yet).
 
I can't see them putting a novice presenter (Aljaz) in with one who is still finding their feet. You need someone quick on their feet who can go off-script when needed not just be a nodding dog. I remember last season when on the last ITT Vito was weeping for most of the segment and Rylan made a joke about spaghetti to lighten the tension..

Mayve a revolving door of Gio's ex-partners who don't speak to him? Ranvir, Richie, Georgia and Laura could all hold down the fort I'm sure.

Likewise with AJ and Kai when they couldn't compete in the final due to her injury, and they were naturally very disappointed, Rylan was superb with them. Got the tone exactly right.

I also think nobody except Rylan could have dealt with Jayde so diplomatically after she was eliminated. Again, got the tone just right.

He gets the best out of people, I loved his interviews with Matt Goss, Matt was totally relaxed with him.
He and Tony also were like old friends in their chats on ITT.

Rylan has natural talent as well as working hard, he makes presenting look so easy and has the ability to go with whatever is said or done on the show.

A hard act to follow, imo.
 
Hopefully they might do what they did when they hired Rylan in the first place - go someone who is a great presenter, no matter whether they have a past connection to the show or not

I saw a few suggestions on DS for Rhys or Tyler - I like them both, but they're a bit too youthful/hyper and I doubt either can do interviews as well as Rylan. I would just like someone a bit more grown up to balance out the walking Disney advert that is Janette
