I really hope that Nigel smashes the tango because it sounds like a great story (the Katya haters will have a field day and I adore her self-confidence) and I love that Miley Cyrus song. I want him to succeed and finally shine again.

Also Nigel and Katya have got such a strong, fun partnership. She was definitely the right pro for him.

shame we're never gonna get any of those kind of shenanigans since the Terrible Incident that was the lindyhopathon

Katya choreographing some bins in, and drafting in Neil as a background dancer while her and Nigel snog. Neil is just happy to be involved.

I'm imagining Dianne desperately trying to find a non-sexual AT theme. 'Hey, let's be Teletubbies! Mummy Teletubby is cross with little Bobby and they have a row on the dancefloor'.

Indeed. Absolutely nothing is allowed to undermine the ‘big, happy sparkly family / best time of your life / friends forever’ narrative.

If something questionable was done/said, there’s no way in the world they’re going to let the slightest hint of it get out there.

We’re all questioning where Michelle is and she’s practically unknown in terms of the pros - how would they cover it if Gio (arguably the best-known of the current pros) suddenly vanished without trace (especially if he’s visibly trotting around hawking his perfume left, right and centre)?
 
Michelle is still promoting the show so maybe she is there on the Saturday shows. Is she quite short? Maybe she blends into the background in the Claudy - I have a hard time spotting Jowita.

Otherwise we all remember from the inexplicable moment in the pro dance that she had a cello - I belive I've rumbled her and she's actually playing in Dave Arch's orchestra.
