Janette's interviews remind me of a uni project years ago which involved interviewing, I had things I wanted to ask but tried to keep it a flowing and somewhat spontaneous conversation whilst when it was the turn of my teammates to interview, they were just rigidly asking questions in a monotone voice with no engagement whatsoever. That's Janette, more focused on the question than the engagement (albeit with more of a smile than those folk).
As is often said … you don’t realise just how hard live presenting actually is until you see someone doing it adequately at best.

Totally agree.
It's the ones who make it look easy, are the real professionals at it. Rylan made it look easy. I love Rylan just in case I haven't mentioned that a million times 😁.

I think Janette is improving, a bit formulaic but better than she was. Whoever replaced Rylan was always going to have a difficult task but I think Fleur is doing well. I think she would cope better than Janette if something came at her unexpectedly. Not that that is likely to happen 😁.

Janette put one of the panel really on the spot last week with a question about two of the celebrities and how they might compare in the upcoming show. I forget the exact details but it was something more like she might ask the judges rather than a random panel member. They managed to come up with an answer, in fairness.

I'm enjoying ITT so far. I thought I would abandon it when Rylan left. 😁

I think Fleur is doing ok so far and will probably relax more. Even Janette is a good bit better. I thought with Layton Fleur was really relaxed and you could tell they connected. Sometimes she sticks to her cue cards more but hopefully will get more confident.

It was Keisha from Sugababes that Janette asked what Ellie could bring to the VW that Layton couldn't. A hard question! Keisha was a bit stumped but came up with something in the end..

I missed it too. Where did Eddie say that? Anybody, I need to know.

Nigel could have made a big meal out of that one, it has not been mentioned. (y)
It popped up as suggested on my Instagram, it was basically on breakfast telly an interview with Karen and Eddie he said him and Nigel are room mates and no one knows behind the scenes what some of them go through and hours before last saturdays show Nigel couldn't hardly walk with pain

He's been in physio a lot this week so it kind of makes sense now

Thank you for explaining. :)

Katya posted a story about her picking Nigel up from physio earlier this week. He now has that kinetic tape down his left lower leg. It is only week 4 and he has an energetic salsa this week.

Respect and kudos to him for not making excuses. Although it is only what I would expect from him and his character to stay schtum.

Keep meditiating lovely Nigel, it surely helps. 🥰

The Fiday panel needs one or two people who will because honest - not unkind - but it's boring when it's just three squealing cheerleaders, and guests who can't say anything more than repetitive generic comments because they don't really watch it.

I prefer when it's either someone with a bit of honesty/opinions or someone who is a previous contestant and knows a bit about the show. I know some people think Richard Madeley is a bit of an idiot, but his contributions last year were spot on.

I really can't stand these self-proclaimed "superfans" they get in for the Friday panel who blatantly want cast on the show but just give the most gushy/generic commentary possible. Usually comedians or actresses.

The worst ever panelist though was Michael Bolton, he had no idea where he was. And he did DWTS so I'd have thought he could have said something insightful even if he didn't know the UK contestants.

Oh yes, Richard Madeley last year 😆 I want him on it every week.

I beg to differ - her refusal/inability to deviate from her 'interview plan', most noticeably with Krishnan and Lauren, when she kept interrupting their answers to say 'we'll come to that later' apparently in order to ask her pre-planned questions in the order she wanted to dictate, was a prime example of rank amateur interview technique. It resulted in a stop/start interview, which effectively stopped Lauren speaking at one point, and was only saved by the engaging professionalism of Krishnan, who politely accepted interruption and was able to hold his contribution until allowed by Janette to get to it. Decent interviewers have a plan for the points they want to cover, but listen to answers and go with the flow to allow the interviewees the floor. Janette is controlling and unable to improvise - a really poor interviewer and not getting any better.

I'd hoped she'd stop doing that this year but no. They're always so excited to talk about this week's dance but she drags them back.

It is a challenge if you are taller, yes Tyler, but more so when you have a pro a foot shorter.

Bobby and Dianne still looking awkward because of the height.

Angela R looks very good and so elegant doing the rhumba. If they can slow down a quickstep to walking pace well they can slow down any dance. Think the producers will decide for her to dodge the bullets of the samba and salsa.

Adam, cover my ears. HOW does Luba cope?
