Every year dianne goes through the same horrid thing with trolls loosing it if she gets the slightest bit close with partners as her job requires following her to studios and her house and media don't help by following her around and making false stories out of the most innocent things as we've seen already.
Already this year she's been followed to the studio and spied on by cameras, papped on show day, had paps follow them during the daytime trying to make it seem like she's cheating with bobby.

I was saying she probably hasn't sat him down and set boundaries otherwise he wouldn't be mooning, wiping her mouth whilst getting cozy and now dancing around in his boxers during rehearsals.

I think its the trolls and press who WANT to see or believe shes getting close to Bobby (and all her previous dance partners)

Then the fans completely lose it and go on the rampage in their defense at the mere suggestion that someone might hurt Joe or wreck their relationship

Meanwhile Dianne seems absolutly fine and is really happy with Joe and clearly enjoying dancing with Bobby certainly no need for anyone to get their knickers in a twist but every single year they do .....daft.

Perhaps if she had he wouldn't have mooned the nation, been so cozy in public or now danced around in his boxers no coincidence she hasn't shared it 🤔

I remember him taking himself quite seriously in his Eastenders days and I could never have seen him doing something like Strictly back then so I love that he’s leaning into the fun of the show and willing to laugh at himself.

After Shirley’s criticism, I worried he might be another Will Mellor but instead he seemed to take the comments on board and also be able to laugh at them. I loved his little sly comment about how it was good his neighbours hadn’t put this week’s comments in a card.

God I love Nigel. Honestly, the school reunion Viennese Waltz made me quite emotional. I'm actually really enjoying this series and nobody is massively pissing me off yet!

I think he is taking the competition in exactly the right spirit.
He is giving it his best and yet not taking stuff too seriously which is great.

I also loved it on ITT when they played back Shirley slating him and then asked Nigel what he thought of it and he said well its all very valid and a bit of a gift really and shes given me a reason now to wake up in the mornings then proceeds to piss himself laughing 😂

He played a bad boy in Eastenders who had a vulnerable side and people lost their minds over him back then - I was definitely one of them 😆

He's handsome but not himbo-ish if that makes sense? I dunno... there was just something about him, and now he's in Strictly I can see that there still is!

I believe she said on one of her vlogs that she couldn't be Ariel in that number because she was too afraid of heights. Katya was spinning around dangling from the ceiling, that's a bit different than just being lifted. I didn't see what she actually said but I remember seeing it mentioned here or on DS. Or maybe in the youtube comments on the dance.

She's since gotten over (or made progress with) her fear of heights, I think, since that reality show thing she was on a couple of years ago, but this was before that.

On #Barbiegate. Nobody's mind is going to leap to Dianne for Barbie but I understand Gorka IS Ken and Nadiya dancing with Gorka could look iffy*. Anybody can shove on a red wig or dye their hair red to be Ariel, I feel like that's a moot point too. Let's not pretend Dianne is a natural redhead or stakes any claim in being a fictional mermaid.

*It's almost like height difference DOES matter. Who'd have thought?!
