I think she veers between being too hot on the fundamentals and coming across as a bit sarky or going overboard with praise.
this depends on
a) whether it’s a Latin or ballroom dance and
b) how many bottles are chinking under the judges table.

I reckon Shirley might go eventually if Mark and his wife have a child, she mentioned once before that she might want to go back to LA to be a grandmother. I gave her a decent chance when she started but I think the situation with Kelvin did begin to put me off her and I do think she never really found the right formula for judging on TV.

Our best hope for Motsi to go IMO is if Oti ends up in the fold as a potential judge. She's the better known Mabuse sister in the UK (whereas Motsi is better known in Germany) and isn't quite as OTT.

i didn't get what the big deal with kelvin was, yes he was muscly but he had the kind of face you would take a picture of and hang over the fireplace to keep the kids away from the fire. also he is suppose to be mid to late 30's but looks about 50 years old. one more thing the 2019 cast was the most boring cast ever.

Can't see that Motsi would willingly give up the money. The show couldn't possibly have two Mabuse's on the panel. It would show a lack of sisterly love that few families would get over for Oti to connive with her sister getting the push in favour of her getting on the panel.

Agree - I thought he looked like the child catcher. Never got the love for him.

Wow, that was awesome. I thought 4 minutes sounded like a ridiculous amount of time, but it didn't feel like 4 minutes. Don't love the bare feet thing, but at least it was something different from the usual contempowaft!
 
I wonder if Karen will leave after this season of strictly; I think she said on her instagram that she sustained an injury and recently online she has been complaining body pain due to the tour. I can't blame her she's 40 now and been a pro for 10 years now so she's managed something incredible; either that or she may only do strictly and commit to less tours next year.
 
I think she probably will. She was basically getting physio in the wings during the interval the other day. It gets to a point where you need to ask yourself if the pain is worth it. I don’t see her doing another solo/group tour like fire dance unfortunately. She might do January or pro tour though or both depending on what else happens next year but I think this will be her last year and there’s no shame in that. The injuries will only start getting worse now and the recovery will get longer. I just don’t know what else she’d do instead.
 
I shouldn't laugh but a few shippers on the AT got very excited as they were convinced the pic Rose posted was 'taken with the same camera' as one Lauren (Gio's dance partner on tour) posted today. Someone had to explain to them that they were using the same filter 😭
LadyLav has returned but is only posting in the Gio AT and has given up the couple one, presumably because she is anti-shipping. Many have migrated from that thread to a private FB group - where I gather those who do not believe in love's young dream are shunned.

Strictly Come Dancing says cha-cha-ciao to COVID

The BBC show implemented a string of new guidelines, among them social bubbles, no studio audience and protective safety panels as the coronavirus pandemic paralyzed the UK in 2020.

It should be complete normality including pro group dances being live, so it's a shame they are going to pre record again. Part of the show that needs to happen again is every pairing together as a group like when the phone lines open and when they go on the dance floor to speak to whichever pair have just been sent home.
