I think it’s because Hamza is such a lovely, unexpected surprise.
he was just about the most ‘who 🦉‘ reveal for this year and who would have guessed that the mild mannered wildlife photographer with amazing hair and a gentle personality would dance like no one is watching on live tele, capture people the way he has and have such a brilliant partnership with a new, untested pro (which always can be hit or miss).

To some degree the rest are all being fairly well what they were expected to be.

If you’re not bothered about Hamza then it’s maybe best to just scroll past any posts about him? We’re not obliged to like or care about every contestant equally. You’re free to post about your favourites as well

Well, there are still 8 other couples in it who are talked about a lot! I think you also post similarly on DS and I have to say, you have to accept at some point that Hamza is very popular and has stolen a lot of people's hearts in a way that other contestants just haven't. Whether you agree with it or not, he is going to attract a lot of comments and the general vibe here is most of us would happily marry him tomorrow.

I dont think hes a guaranteed winner and I'd be bored if i thought there was only 1 player but i do get excited to see what Hamza will do next, his partnership is perfect.
Lots of us do a Saturday/Sunday summary of how we felt the dances went, and lots of us do give our criticism and our positive feedback across the board.
Eg Kym - I've never endeared to her personally, but she dances some dances fantastically and I recognise that right now she should be the finals.

I usually do one vote for Hamza and then one each for couples if I'm worried they might land in the bottom two or particularly enjoyed them.

I’m not sure that’s fair, everyone is entitled to post about who they like. It’s not a place where everyone will be happy, I just scroll by chat that’s not really of interest to me

Helen and Gorka are my favourites, but still throwing a few votes to others here and there too. I do love Hamza though and will be happy when if he wins 😊

One thing I love about this year is that I'll be genuinely happy to see more of any of them on my TV once the series is over (even Will as long as he sticks to acting and not being a mardybum in real life). And I can't say that about every series - the end of 2018 was filled with dread at the thought of Joe and Stacey popping up everywhere 😆

That's what I like about posting here compared to DS. For the most part, it feel like a safe space to post about who you like and don't like without someone getting in a tizz because they have a different opinion to you

Yeah, I am basically a Vito stan account at this point, but I enjoy reading other people's POVs and find that people have said more or less positive things about every contestant, even Will (and even Jayde, before she left and had a meltdown).

When Fleur and Vito go (sob) I'll prob support Hamza and maybe also Helen as I'm warming to her

Hamza is my favourite but also vote for others as well depending on what I have enjoyed. I like the fact that this year, I don’t think at the moment there is an alright winner, that the glitter ball is up for grabs and that there doesn’t appear to be any showmances or intense shippers - last year became too much with Kai and AJ and Rose and Gio, especially as the Rio shippers are still going strong.

I'm surprised at how amusing I find Kym' stoic, immensely pragmatic attitude to the whole thing.

I can't say I'm thrilled by her party latin dances, but I am immensely hopeful for her doing the paso, possibly at Blackpool? After that rumba and that Argentine Tango, another great big dramatic number where she stalks Graz across the dancefloor like she is willing to murder him (but in a sexy way) seems right up her alley.

People who are fans of Hamza are talking about Hamza. There’s no impartiality rule that says all posters have to discuss all contestants equally.

I really like the no nonsense way she's approaching the show and she was excellent last week - deserved that 10. I also think her and Graz genuinely do get on though he is bordering on Amy territory with how much he hangs out with her family!

I guess with Graz I find it more understandable as his wife and family are all in Italy. Amy, I guess was away from her fiancé but I am sure there were other friends and family she could have bunked up with!

Interesting that this year there are two couples where both partners are seemingly single and zero shipping! (Molly and Carlos - Carlos pings my gaydar (but so does Aljaz so who knows??!) and Hamza and Jowita..
