There’s no ‘rule’ that states you can only vote for a ‘non pish’ dance.



I honestly don’t think he wanted to do any better or stay in any longer. He fulfilled his contractual obligations as this year’s sacrificial Eastenders lamb, did some inoffensive dances, probably had a bit of a laugh with the rest of the cast, he’s back to having just the one job, and the fee makes his bank balance look pretty.

Free pass year as well because he won't have been expected to do as well as Rose. Tougher for the Eastenders cast member next year who will be expected to do better than James.
 
Someone earlier here (sorry can't remember who) was wondering who was voting for Ellie S. I obviously follow along on the night here, but afterwards sometimes look at other blogs and comments. The Guardian live blog is interesting as views can be so different to here. In comments there were so many saying 'gave all three votes to Ellie S as she is so lovely and could be in danger' - I mean loads of them. So she does have a committed fan base 🤷‍♀️
They also love Will 'bless, you could see the disappointment in his face' (I just see seething rage usually), and Amy 'so pretty and bubbly', again 🤷‍♀️
So it really does take all sorts.
 
Glad Tony stayed in and agree there were a few botches in the dance off. Haven't read all this thread or the last one (46 pages already on the new one, bloody hell!!) as wanted to avoid spoilers, but enjoyed the show and the music wasn't too bad either. Brave and decent attempt (way way better than I could do) with 'Livin on a Prayer' in 'tonight's' show. I always defend Tess, at least mentally, but tonight was the first time that 'voice' really got to me, You all know the one when someone has to leave or looks sad.

Entertainment show. Adults. Paid well. Calm it down, Tess.

James was also bad and his Days were numbered but she was far worse and wasn’t even in the bottom two.

Edited to add Fluer is such a messy aggressive dancer. Their routine this week was like a horrible fever dream 😂

I didn't like Ellie's dance this week but I've thought she was really good in previous weeks

Amy seems to attract these sorts of fans. She also always gets more "she deserves a ringer next year" comments than any other female pro after her celebs get eliminated which always makes my eyes roll. I think they view her as the nice innocent pro who is always done dirty by the show.

The second tweet reminded me of this meme 😆 Yeahhh, the Twitter stans are A Lot. I could understand young teens being like this, but some of them are in their 20s or even older 🧐

I know it’s (allegedly) based on that dance alone but is an overall badly danced routine to be saved over a couple of mistakes? I thought James did dance better than Saturday night but there was little swivel (Amy didn’t look like she had much but they had her in stupid shoes) and overall the dance was pretty shocking.

I thought they only did them later in the contest, as there’s not much to show for the people who go out in the earlier weeks, plus when they’re down to just a few couples they need to pad the results show out a bit.

I said the same last night: all that’s happening is that they’re not dancing on telly next week, no one is being taken out and shot 🙄
