I noticed the judges were careful to avoid saying the better performance in the dance-off, because they needed to overlook Fleur's mistake. While I agreed it was James' time to go, his mistakes in the dance-off weren't as glaring as Fleur's. Tonight proved that the judges don't make decisions based on the dance-off alone - they already had made their minds up that James would be going and they had to justify it without referring to the dance-off.

I think with Fleur and Molly it's a combination of limited fanbase and dancing with a new pro. Vito and Carlos's choreo has been weak in places depending on the dance (though I quite like Carlos's overall).

I wonder if neither are as practised at teaching (in the space of a week) compared to seasoned pros. I'd rather see them nail the basics and throw in a couple of tricks/really creative sections rather than going full pelt and it look messy.

I like Tony he's giving it his all; I've said the same thing about other contestants in previous series; normally the 'duffer' contestants do get so far and get overmarked for their improvement week by week then the dance itself.

Tony’s always at the bottom, or near the bottom, of the leaderboard though so even if the judges felt charitable and threw him a couple of 8s, it wouldn’t make a difference. Tyler has been overmarked consistently and is always near the top.

I can’t decide if you’re genuine or a bit of a troll cos I just can’t fathom anyone being this much of a ride or die for Dianne 🤣
 
Who is voting for Ellie S each week. The woman is shite and this week was the worst week yet, the slowest fox trot in history, with hardly any dancing and her Just pretending to act. Get off my telly!

James was also bad and his Days were numbered but she was far worse and wasn’t even in the bottom two.

Edited to add Fluer is such a messy aggressive dancer. Their routine this week was like a horrible fever dream 😂

God all I said was that I think Tony was being marked more for his week by week improvement than the actual dance itself. Its other users brought up the others. I thought you could have an opinion on the way judges marked? I didnt call out anyone else on their opinion on the way they thought other contestants were being over/under marked ?!?!

Of course I'm a crazy troll for having an opinion then :cautious:

I think when they were introduced at the start of the series Carlos said he had just finished competing so he won't have had any experience teaching the way they have to on Strictly. Vito came from the Italian version I think though so he should have a better grasp of it.

I don’t think you’re a crazy troll - it was a joke cos you make it very obvious how much you like Dianne. I’m sorry if you were offended but it’s really not that deep.

I think they are vying for the same ‘slot’ as well … Young woman perceived to be able to dance a bit with a new pro dancer and somehow the votes yo-yo between who it’s thought needs them most at the time.
 
Wow. Voting for the pro even when the choreography was utter pish. Ellie S should have went. That dance was an abomination.

It’s went too far now. She’s not good nor is she improving week on week like Tony. If she survived last night, I’m afraid she could go all the way to the final as I’m sure the producers will be running to suck up her arse and give her a dance that suits her this week.
