Had no idea he’d been married 3 times! And he reused part of his wedding speech when he married Karen! 😱
Never liked Kevin, always gave off a weird vibe to me and this just proves it!

This is all absolute news to me! What a sleaze. Must have the chat of the century if his Ozzy Osbourne-esque looks were anything to go by. I can just imagine him during burn the floor trying to convince everyone that “ballroom can be punk!!” 🤟🏼

Also, Strictly love rat might be one of my favourite terms ever.

So many red flags! Not telling his second wife he'd been married before too 😬

Karen was on a podcast talking about divorce last year - she didn't go into lots of detail, but pretty much she told him she wasn't happy and wanted him to put more effort in their relationship, and he chose to end it instead. Yet she was still very complimentary about him and blamed herself for not trying harder to make things work ☹. He just strikes me as being quite a toxic person
 
Anyone else secretly cant wait to see this years cast get dropped like a cold bag of sick when this years cast get announced? :sneaky:

I like to see people get along with each other and have camaraderie but theres always a part of me in the back of my head knowing that as much as all the celebs and pro's give off the ''BFFS 4 LIFE'' vibes I know deep down once the tour is over they don't stay as in touch anymore and once the new cast comes into play the cycle starts again and the pro's have to become 'best buds' with the new cast.

Scrolling on twitter today seeing the strictly fandom say things like ''best cast ever!'' and saying how much they love the friendship between everyone knowing full well by this time next year all of their profile pictures will be changed to people in this years cast and the 2021 cast will be long forgotten! :ROFLMAO:

I’m not sure. I really do feel like this cast has got on so well and many of them will stay in touch. If you look at the 2016 cast they still all see each other and support each other’s new ventures which is nice.

I think the 2021 cast is one that will be remembered … one of the best lineups in recent years imo with so much diversity.

Yes I think they will stay in touch but not to the extent that people think they will. I think a lot of years some of the casts' stay in touch but never to the extent what people will think it will be. I'll reiterate what I said about the pro's; yes they may stay in touch with their contestants but they never will be as close as they once were especially when a new series happens and they have new celebs to look after.
 
It really does vary from pro to pro on who has actually made a ‘friend for life’ and who’s caught up in the moment. Aljaz and Janette are the most genuine with their BFF claims imo, absolutely no doubt Sara will be having meet ups with them long after this season. Amy likely to be adopted by the Fletchers, and I could honestly see JoJo having a post show friendship. Maybe Tilly and Nikita too. Everyone else, not a chance.

EDIT: Dan and Nadiya + Oti and Ugo I reckon could go either way. Everyone else either felt way too intense to be fully genuine, or was just clear as day no spark

Yeah it does depend on the pro - Janette does strike me a social climber and has used her 'friendships' to climb the ladder in my opinion. I mean she's someone who is 'friends' with other contestants outside her own celebs. I don't think she is a nasty person but I do see her as someone who has reaped the benefits of her friendships as much as possible. Amy barely stays in touch with Karim anymore and he was her best contestant; I think whoever can get her that glitterball will be her ultimate BFF. :ROFLMAO:

I rather pro's who can be kind and genuine when teaching their celebs and still speak highly of them when the show is done and not do this whole ''We'll be BFF's for life!!'' shtick. I think Karen, Dianne, Gorka and Graziano for example have this down imo.

We all thought Karen had gone back to her maiden name but Hauer is the name of her 1st husband.
 
Janette seems to be everyone's BFF (including other cast members) and I can't think of any partner who she doesn't seem to have stayed friends with, even Julien Macdonald who annoyed basically the entire audience and HRVY who is 15 years younger. I wonder if she's fully genuine or not, everyone surely comes across a few people they don't like.
