I really don't like the contempowafts - they're always so formulaic:

- Start by sitting back to back on the floor
- Stand up and lurch your arms to the side, reaching for something invisible
- Slow motion running from the invisible thing
- Roll arms around head to symbolise anguish because you are emoting
-
Whether lifted or lifting, make it look like you are fighting inside an invisible duvet cover with your partner
- Roll about a bit like you've got gas
- Do the inevitable double leap like two salmons spawning upstream
- EARNEST FACES
- ARE YOU HAPPY OR FIGHTING OR IN PAIN, NOONE CAN TELL
- Finish back to back with your partner as if the whole thing was a duvet salmon gassy fever dream

Yep. I always describe them as a breakdown set to music.

Chris Ramsay doing it because he once had a spot killed the sob stories stone dead :D

And to a soundtrack of Ant & Dec, just in case we hadn’t realised the full depth of the emotional scarring.

I do so love it when contestants refuse to be corralled into all of the stupid SCD tit. And yes, obligatory honorary mention for Gavbot in a cowboy hat looking like he wanted to torch the entire VT out of existence 😎

Do you like dressing as a cowboy, Gavin

Genuinely one of the funniest moments on Strictly, I think Monkseal captured his air of blank bafflement perfectly here:

I just don't want Will mention his kids again. Like what expectations do they have of him exactly that him doing a reasonably average dance with a few mistakes is going to let them down so much?

Reality, they're not arsed. They probably thought he did great. So quit using them for sympathy.

Exactly. I can well understand that he wants to do his best and so on, but it's the second week, it was absolutely fine.
He kept going on and on as if he had fallen over and dropped Nancy or something. It made him seem like a real drama queen.

And then on ITT he kept the same thing going.
It's a wonder he didn't look directly at the camera and issue another dramatic apology. Move on FGS.

Weirdly, Matt actually came across a lot more chilled, laid back and accepting of the criticism of his week one dance on his first ITT interview than Wired Will.
