I think with Strictly they joy is in getting to know the contestants and watching them learn to dance. It's the bbc and all age groups love strictly so when casting for everyone, it's unlikely everyone is going to know everyone. I'll reserve judgement until we've got the full line up and i can see the full spectrum of ages and professions
 
Looking forward to the remaining reveals this week - people always moan about the line up expecting superstars.šŸ˜‚ By Strictly hiring MICā€™s Jamie Laing shows that they are not that picky about their achievements/ fame at all & more about diversity of line up. Due to Covid a Celebrity NHS doctor is a strong possibility & many also tick the social media star box, so maybe Dr Alex George, Dr Zoe Williams, Dr Emily Andre ( Peter Andreā€™s wife) or TikTok Doctor Dr Emeka Okorocha.

Doubt Strictly will have Olympic medals only snobbery, as they have had lots of less accomplished celebrities & athletes on in the past. To be an Olympian is an amazing achievement, only less than 3 percent of the 11000 Olympians at Tokyo became medalists. Agree Team GBā€™s Tokyo Olympians will still be training for the home CWG next year, so are unlikely but plenty other Olympians to pick from. Michael Edwards - ā€œEddie the Eagleā€ is possible future contestant but too soon this year after Masked Dancer. Someone from This Morning / Loose Women is also possible maybe Gok Wan or even Janet Street Porter ( 74 - older contestant).šŸ’ƒšŸ•ŗ

I would LOVE IT if Steve McFadden did it! I love when actors are totally different from their character and you get to know them. But he could of course be a violent, cheating with your brotherā€™s wife alcoholic just like Phil!

ETA - I knew Iā€™d seen him dancing somewhere before šŸ˜‚
 
Not thrilled by today's names though I did know both names - Katie was just a bit of a wet blanket on the stand up comedy show and I've never been keen on Dan, always over to GMB or radio in the mornings for me. Nonetheless, he is a fan of it and they like to cross promote their shows so it was a matter of time.
 
Surprised they didnā€™t have more Waterloo Road actors on strictly back in the day. I remember Chelsee Healy was really enjoyable to watch and so was the man who played Chalky. Not a Corrie watcher so Katie is still Scout in my head. Just wanna see Tom Clarkson do a salsašŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

I love how he maintains his drunk face throughout the whole dance. Top notch. I reckon he'd do it if he was asked.

She very much denied it a few months ago in an interview, saying she'd only met him once. I guess this must have been around the time she'd signed up for Strictly, hence why she made a point of saying it was rubbish (to diffuse any awkwardness?)

Katie seems nice enough, but does strike me as a bit of a filler contestant. Nothing wrong with her as a Strictly booking, but I'm kind of hoping she's a bit too tall for Gorka and gets someone like Graziano or one of the new guys

Called him back in April when he announced he was stepping down from football focus and it was fairly obvious on his last episode when he didnā€™t say what he was doing next. He was really cagey about it so it made a lot of sense.

Heā€™s tall (6ā€™6 according to what I googled earlier)and not awkward so hopefully heā€™ll give Nadiya/Luba a decent run šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»šŸ¤žšŸ»

Was hoovering earlier so not sure if I heard correctly, wasn't paying attention.... An ad for tomorrows This Morning, did they say the last 2 celebs would be revealed? I could be way off...
