He must have passed the medical, but it seems it was more physically demanding than he anticipated, after his heart surgery. When you see how exhausted someone like Adam has been after training (25 years younger and an Olympic athlete) I guess you can imagine how taxing the training is.

I just googled - apparently he has had open heart surgery a while ago and thought he was fit enough to do the show but he experienced some symptoms and went to see his heart specialist who advised him to step down.
