I agree. When they originally introduced CC, there were three distinct categories - Street/Commerical, Theatre/Jazz and Contemporary - but I can't recall those categories being mentioned this year. And last year, everyone except Caroline did Street/Commerical which defeats the point because it's hardly different from a lot of the show dances we see in the final.

The only CC I've ever loved was Faye and Giovanni's stunning Fever dance which made the most of the Jazz theme:

Faye, Charles & Ashley’s couples choice routines from 2018 were the best, nothing has come close since.
 
I wonder if Rose’s CC might involve Gio learning to dance without music too, so he can experience a little of her experience. I think that would be brave, nothing to distract or hide behind. I also think it could be hugely powerful. I love the 2 of them together and not in a ‘are they/aren’t they’ way. There really does seem to be a true enjoyment and friendship between them.

This would be amazing! They could really take this concept and do something amazing with it.

Nyle & Peta done something similar on DWTS, wasn’t the whole song but they had a section where there was just silence. Was amazing and he was a well deserved winner, his showdance/freestyle still makes me bawl 😭

It is a dancing competition but personality is a big part of it. I agree she walked through it, but people love her energy and enthusiasm which is something Katie lacked, or it didn’t come across on screen. Gorka deserved a better partner but I guess on paper and at interview she was right for the job.

Judi -fab team but she can be pushed more.

Sara - she did well with Shrek's big fat belly in the way
AJ - amazing dance and Kai, even his two tone teeth aren't putting me off phwoarh!!!!
Kermit- poor Rob he wants to do it properly but that head looks like a velodrome helmet
Greg - he doesn't walk/dance - stomp
Tilly - nope
Rose - 🤩
Ugo - stupid couples choice, that wasn't dancing
Tom - 🤘🎸🤘😜
Adam - undermarked and didn't need the cgi blocking the end.
Katie- another walker dancer
Rhys - his best dance but why did they do the Buble version of Spiderman to Street dance, and appealling to church going audiences??
John - fab but his arms should have been more powerful and I'm sorry but it's not Johannes show
