I doubt he would have done much better. I thought at the time he might have seen it as an opportunity to reschedule his tour in the September and that's one of the reasons he decided to leave just after all the spring tours were cancelled (back when we thought covid would all be over in a few months ). He's far too wooden to succeed in acting or presenting, pandemic or no pandemic

I do take the piss, but honestly that AT with Claudia was my favourite dance of that series. I quite liked him that year, but his ego got in the way after that

My claim to fame is that I met AJ and Claudia at Bristol Temple Meads when they were going back to London after rehearsals. And he was really nice! I wasn't going to say anything but the woman beside me on the platform started chatting to them about Strictly, and I piped up that I couldn't get over how tiny Claudia was (doh) and he laughed and said everyone said that. They were both very sweet. Presumably he got bigheaded later..
(I told them I was voting for them but ofc I was voting for Danny Mac..)

I'll give Bill being hugely overscored but was that really a coincidence with Kelvin? He and Oti were by far the best that year.

Do you think AJs post strictly career would’ve been more successful if it hadn’t happened in the middle of pandemic ?

I know we’re fairly critical of his decisions here and he’s a bit of a laughing stock online generally but I can’t help but wonder if covid hadn’t been a thing and his show hadn’t been cancelled whether things would be a bit different for him.

No, he has no talent for acting or personality for presenting/any kind of TV work. I'm convinced he is actually some sort of android .

someone in another thread here posted that really odd (and vaguely homoerotic) photoshoot they did and it put a whole new level of ick onto their double act for me. don’t google it. no don’t. i warned you!

i’m sure that curtis was once a pro on the irish strictly though, or am i thinking of someone else? it is odd to give critique on the version of the show that you weren’t involved in though i guess!

I had another look at it and I still think it looks fake as duck. I can't believe AJ's pecs are that big, for a start, and the line between the necks and chins seems to be too harsh or something. Curtis' head in particular looks to be at a slightly odd angle. And a reverse image search doesn't show any results except twitter and tattle. I'd be pretty surprised if it was real.

Not that I don't believe they wouldn't do a photoshoot like that, they do seem a bit oddly over-attached, but that photo seems so fake to me.
