The Strictly professionals seem to all get along, particularly because so many of them knew each other before they joined the show, but I’m always interested to see who are actually close friends rather than just colleagues once Strictly ends for another year.

But seriously though, it is nice to see that they are actually good friends. I remember wondering when they first moved in together if they were actually close or if they were just trying to save money thanks to covid.

I get the feeling this trip has been planned for quite a while, as they knew they’d be apart for Strictly. As they are private, grown up people they had no need to let anyone know lol!
They really did get on brilliantly when they were flat sharing - the various videos of their lives and dance lessons are comedy gold.

That would be my favourite celeb announcement of the year 😂 Strictly couple are dating - yawn. Giovanni and Kai have been having a torrid love affair this whole time - incredible.

I just took a peek at ‘stan’ Twitter and wow…it’s a lot. I paid very little attention to AJ/Kai beyond ‘that was a great dance’ and ‘they deserve to be in the final’ so I don’t know what their situation is but I‘m actually worried for those fans if they’re not together. There’s a lot of unhealthy over-investment going on there 😬

In various fandoms over the years, I can't even count the times I've read comments so insane I've worried the person might harm themselves (or try to harm the writers/actors) if their ship didn't happen/broke up. Unhealthy over-investment in shipping is one thing with fictional couples, it's a whole nother level of :eek: when it's real people. If Dianne and Joe ever break up, lord help them and their crazy stans!

Let's just hope people are, for the most part, just being hyperbolic because of the anonymity of the internet...

Just looked at Rose's post... I can't even with the number of people who've tagged him. Even some of the ones telling the shippers off for being creepy and invasive have still tagged him, like he needs to see more notifications from that loony comment thread! Hysterical.

Almost suprised any KJ shippers are acknowledging Kai being in Italy. Half expected them to simply ignore it because there's no way to spin it as support for their ship.
 
I hope/presume these people are very young. The idea that Kai is somehow doing AJ dirty by going to Italy when we have zero idea what their relationship is actually like..(especially when it's AJ who has stoked most of the speculation..)
The DS appreciation thread is in meltdown too, though.

The DS thread is way more grown up about it. The twitter ones are hilarious now! As we’ve said , only the two of them know what’s going on, and I’m sure this trip has been arranged for ages.

I truly appreciate both Kai and Gio just sinking both ships with nothing more than a panning camera and a wink ;) Gio knows full well it's best to crush the shippers ASAP otherwise it gets out of control.

Nah the lot of them are aggressively pretending to laugh 'oh what jokes' whilst snapping and being passive aggressive.

There is zero evidence that Kai and AJ have spent anytime together since the 18th and past their contractual obligations, those aren't the actions of two people in a relationship even a new one.

I just had a look at their appreciation thread and I agree. Like the Twitter stans, it reads like a group of people trying to find a situation funny while actually being disappointed that two strangers aren’t following the script they’ve made up for them in their heads. Also I did not need to read posts from grown adults about whether AJ and Kai have ‘snogged’ which surely is no one’s business but theirs.

(The last time I looked at that thread, someone was arguing that AJ and Kai will always be known as the main partnership of this series so that place is always delusional 🙊)

I don’t know if AJ and Kai are together but I do think some of their fans could do with stepping away from social media for a couple of days to get some perspective. If they are a couple, they’ll confirm it in their own time and not because random people on the internet demand they do.

Lol, I dunno about DS being more mature, I noped outta the Rose/Gio one yesterday when I saw someone speculating that Gio was sending Rose a secret message in his video of the buffet table at his nephew's christening... just because Rose likes food.
