Urgh - just had an awful thought: perhaps the Beeb has plans to manoeuvre the Fletchers into a ‘golden handcuffs’ contract. Or perhaps the Fletchers are hoping to persuade the Beeb to offer them a mega contract.
Either way, I hope the PR machine doesn’t relentlessly smash us in the face with them from now until Christmas.
 
Always seems to be articles about the same few contestants I actually forgot half of them are also taking part Rhys ,tilly, Sara, rose etc.
I don't know why but I reckon rhys is partnered with katya 🤔 tilly and nikita, rose and giovanni and gorka having either Sara or nina no idea about any others.
 
Tom isn't my favourite of these celebs and to make things worse, he's apparently being touted by other contestants as a contender dance wise. I won't spoil his partner but not exactly enthused by the partnership either. I'm hoping that we have a really good dancer that people connect to somewhere in the lineup or a total surprise package so we don't have the otherwise inevitable result.

Gorka is the only one I follow and I initially thought he might have been asymptomatic, but good to see he’s training

That could explain why he’s getting to trail his partner up and down the country to accommodate his tour! That wouldn’t be a great idea normally but we are still in a pandemic and this is not necessary travel. The only hope is he’ll ge knackered!

I feel we may also need to tell everyone about the furlough payments too, that’s bound to stick in the craw

From watching the reveal VT's, I see Ugo & Tilly having early exits - the former seems to be lacking in ability and doesn't quite have the jovial personality needed to appeal to SCD voters plus I'm not sure the new Question of Sport is that popular. Tilly starting uni while doing SCD makes me nervous, I remember from when I started uni, it's not the time commitment but the lifestyle adjustment and combining that with SCD will likely be emotionally overwhelming for someone her age. I'm not sure if she brings a large enough personality (fairly quiet) or the dance skill to help.

I was thinking that Greg was going to take himself really seriously but he came across better than expected, if he can combine the humour, acting skills and a desire to do well then I imagine him having a good run.

The BBC don't tend to golden handcuff it's talent, and the deals are not generally as good as commercial broadcaster deals. But if the Fletchers are desperate they might take anything offered. But hopefully the BBC will see through their twee act. And leave them in the gutter. All their ADs would probably conflict with a BBC deal anyway.
 
I find it super interesting how they pair partners- not just height/chemistry, but to an extent what spin they want the papers to push. I pray I’m wrong about Tom, I’m going to need 4 gins a show to mentally prepare myself for Giovannas smug smile from the audience. What upsets me most is Harry Judd will 100% be embroiled in the spectacle 😂

Can't wait for the names to come it's their choice as it should be but I don't blame celebrities not wanting to be paired with them and their actions put the show at risk so I wouldn't expect whoever they are to be back in 2022 unless they have the jab in the meantime.

Surely this is old news though? Like the team would have known whether the pros were vaccinated or not well before now… yes its their choice but not when it goes against the rules set out by your place of work, quite disappointing actually. Dying to know who it is, for some reason I’m thinking neil?

I thought maybe Gorka as Gemma had previously said her sister would have Mia whilst she was away. 🤷‍♀️ Could whoever it is isolation maybe be up and the press were late finding out?
 
I was thinking maybe Giovanni he just gives me that sort of vibe. For some reason I feel it’s male pros more than the female ones however I also feel like it could be Luba or Nadiya. They also give me vibes but I guess it’s their body their choices. But I kinda thought production might’ve insisted on it especially for those with a partner.
