I would say all the pros & contestants will have lateral flow tests to hand same as last year and will have to all do a test (they probably all have to do one weekly anyway).

If its a pro with a partner I wonder if this will affect their training???

Oh no that’s not good! Gorka has had a couple of stories on IG at times that I thought he may have been rehearsing with his partner but he’s been working out. Doesn’t rule him out because he might feel fine and only found out with a test I guess

I've been trying to work out who's not actually posted a training story on Instagram today. So far spotted Giovanni is posting about his alleged romance but not training today 🤔
 
Oti has been uncharacteristically quiet today, though I can't remember if she posted anything yesterday

Hopefully whoever it is they're not too ill and can come back after their isolation

Edit: oh I see she put up a story this morning, but nothing from the training room. Same with Gorka too ☹️

True. But Nadiya was named when she had it, even though it was only whilst filming the pro dancers so the public could easily have been none the wiser that any of the pros had tested positive . Plus there’s a reasonable possibility that their partner will need to be paired with someone else, even if just for the first week, at which point it will be obvious.

Thinking about it, given the need to isolate, and the need to inform close contacts, Covid-positive status is actually pretty much impossible to keep confidential, whatever your occupation. Hadn’t really thought about it until now - though last year a friend tested positive and her mother was mortified and begged her not to tell anyone (the shame!) As my friend pointed out, that’s literally the opposite of what you have to do! 😆
 
It’s potentially not a main pro such as one of the dancers they use to pad out groups(think the likes of Jake Leigh) or a benched pro hence why they’re not named. I feel like if it was one of the main partnered pros it would get out. I might be wrong though.

Ah, that’s a good point. I’d assumed it was one of the ‘well-known’ pros, but it could be one of the non-main pros.

I agree, especially when his partner is
Amy who is considered a vulnerable person because of her Crohn's disease. She might even need a booster shot soon because she got vaccinated quite early this year, so has to be even more careful now.

I was just reading elsewhere that Karen, Nikita and Kai are the only three that haven’t posted much recently, so I suppose it’s got to be one of them. I don’t follow any of the pros on SM, though, so don’t know how ‘active’ each of them are under normal circumstances.
