When I read the rumours this morning that John was out, I started to worry that Tom really did have a big fanbase and might be on the way to the final with Amy stealing that glitterball from Giovanni!

Farewell, Tom and Amy. I won't miss either of you. I actually think I could have enjoyed Tom dancing with someone like Karen but him and Amy were unbearable together.

I really wouldn't mind if this is the final three...I'd prefer John there over Tilly but I fear he peaked too early and they've been chasing the magic of that Paso Doble, hopefully they'll pull it out the bag again! 🤞
I would prefer John too but mostly because I just love Johannas..but I think bizarrely the judges favour Tilly and she will be saved again. That dance last night was over marked imo, if she had been lower down the score board I think she may have been in her 3rd DO !

I think that's partly why they overmarked her! To keep her somewhat safe...It's obvious who's the three public favourites are and they're trying to mix it up a bit!

I didn't think much of Tilly's dance either, but I will say this: she was the only one clearly acting a character, which is such a huge focus of Musicals Week.

ETA: My bad, Rose did too and delightfully. We should have had a lot more storytelling, character, fun and performance last night and that's why everything was so flat.

This is maybe better as a poll at the start of the next thread, but I’d be interested to see how many people here vote (if they can, obviously people will be out) but if you’re watching it in real time, or close enough to still be able to vote - do you?

I use my three online votes (you get six in the final) and I have been known to vote on the phone too. If I have a favourite, I always vote for them even if they get a high score and then my other two will go on who I enjoy on the night.

I don't usually vote but I did last night as I was watching it with my friend who loves John and we thought he might be in trouble.

There is a truly epic screenshot of his thunder face when the judges were praising Tilly over on the Fletcher thread 😂😂

😅 Great work @Quite Contrary for catching this!

I have 6 online votes. I rarely phone vote - think I did it for Caroline and Pasha and Jay and Aliona, and this time for Adam and Katya :(
Last night I used all my votes for John as I thought he might be in trouble.

I don't agree when someone uses the phrase "they've been voted off Strictly". We vote for who we want to keep IN, so yes by default whoever goes out isn't as popular, but it's not true to say millions voted them off, we don't actively vote someone out!

I always check the spoiler anyway so I’m not fussed personally, but we might as well have not bothered putting ‘spoiler’ tags on when the discussions make it clear who goes.

Thread constantly showing negative opinions about one contestant, non spoiler tagged posts saying ‘no spoilers but so glad that person has gone’. Hmm, wonder who it might be… 🤣🤣
I think this a tricky one and as Moderator, maybe @Oohthedrama could keep us right. With only 7 couples left, I can think of two contestants who aren’t popular here and a third who is often mentioned so I don’t personally think it’s obvious.

I used to read the Daily Mail and on a Sunday morning I would avoid all the Strictly stories but dickheads who read spoiler sites were posting the results in completely unrelated stories. So I stopped reading it at all on a Sunday, because then I didn’t want to know.

I personally think that if I don’t want to know then it’s up to me to avoid where it might be spoken of. Or the alternative is no spoilers at all, which is why I tagged a Mod in

It's a shame because I thought they made a real effort last year with musicals week to make it more about the theatre and have some newer shows featured, but this year apart from Matilda (which didn't work at all to imo), it was back to the usual numbers. Dan's dance could have been done in any week of the competition

Yeah, I felt that way about Tom's, Dan's, AJ's, Rhys' and John's dances. I think next year they reeeeeally need to refresh the musicals and make sure celebrities have got a meaty, obvious character and intention in the dance. I'm not saying every dance needs to be lively but they do need to be special.
