I agree I was thinking this when I was watching old dances today. No one is really wowing me. Apart from a few of Maisie’s dances. But I didn’t particularly enjoy hers last night. No ones really thrilled me. There is something missing this year. The dresses aren’t as nice as they used to be the wigs are dreadful the music is rubbish and doesn’t suit the dances and the singers lets not go there. Pls to god get rid of motsi as well she talks utter craaaap

1] WTF was that opening number tonight? It was shyte.
2] So was that woman singing 'Climb Every Mountain.'
3] Thank goodness Shirley also saved Jamie.

Now JJs gone, who we hating on next year. I can't stand hrvy and his blatant false modesty act. At least maisie owns her previous experience unlike that little turd who keeps making out he's never heard of the dance before but then gets a 10

Also has everyone got a bucket ready for ITT tomorrow. I bet Amy's furious JJ only brought up her chrohns as he was leaving. Surely that's worth a few extra votes

Will definitely be voting for Maisie and Jamie next week as I think they will both need it!!!

I think I read somewhere on twitter earlier today HRVY's manager was deleting off his wiki page that he went to a performing arts school ?!?!!? I reiterate again this ''Oh I don't know what I'm doing'' act is not flying with me especially since Maisie has been crucified for it.

I noticed that the title "dancer" got removed from the list of his professions on his Wikipedia page when he started Strictly which I doubt is a coincidence though to be fair, anyone can edit Wikipedia so I take it with a grain of salt.
 
To be fair i think the last couple of years have been. I think we need a good clear out of the pros and bring in 50% new ones. I like Alijaz but feel like every year no matter who his celeb is its the same. Id probably leave Giovanni, Gorka, Johannes, Oti, Katya and Karen plus give Graziano and Nancy a try. But also try some of the backup dancers such as Kai, Joshua and Pasquali to mix it up a bit. Ph and also ditch Motsi, Shirley and Bruno and bring in Anton, Natalie Lowe and another ex pro, Aliona would definitely be brutally honest I reckon

Anton, Natalie & I'll also controversially suggest James to judge IMO. Aliona has totally retired from the public eye.

Agree on a clear out of pros but I wonder how the audience would react to that if their favourites are gone.

I found him a twit on the show but really like his commentary on twitter. He's spot on and actually gives constructive criticism which I didn't expect. He'd have to sort his hair out as based on Instagram he's decided to turn into a lion

The whole show needs a refresh really.

Judging changes, get rid of Motsi and Bruno as a minimum, though I'd like to see Shirley go as well. Anton joins the judges with one or two new women.

Refresh the pro lineup, some of them have been around too long and are not keeping their routines fresh.

A new producer and creative team behind the scenes, to try different music, different pro dance routines - get them back to proper dances. Letting the pros have a bit more say on song choice for actually appropriate songs. Just a lot less recycling needs to be done.

New singers, Jesus Christ new singers.

Talking about creative team - how about OG pros Darren & Lilia to take over that role? They did the creative directing and pro routines on DWTS Ireland and they were much better than the ones on SCD. Jason Gilkison needs to go! It's Strictly not Burn the Floor and he has too much influence over the pro lineup. I'm not certain on this but I think it may be him coming onboard around 2013 that led to some of the large numbers of pros quitting back in 2014/15 as they no longer had creative freedoms, James Jordan basically alluded to it.

The fact they brought in a new exec producer last series was the perfect opportunity to bring about some change and shake things up a bit as isn’t that what new producers do anyway.
But imo she really hasn’t done much if anything at all.

I am enjoying this series, more than last year for sure but it all feels a bit boring and predictable in every sense and with a show that’s been on air nearly 20 years it’s important to keep things fresh.

I didn't know Amy had a flare-up of Crohn's recently? I feel for her, if so. It's a horrid thing when it flares up.

I have ulcerative colitis, finally in my 1st remission! Biologics are amazing thats for sure. I felt so sorry for her when she opened up about her most recent flare on her program. I kinda 'get' why she seems to be very competitive, i dont know if its the same with her but it feels like you need to have apart of your life that doesnt revolve around tests, meds, appts etc
