Couldn’t agree more and he comes across like such a lovely fun loving guy too! I loved him and Tameka actually! Him and Gemma both said that wasn’t the case! Did someone not say at the time it was because the females last year were all tall and didn’t look right with him?! Can’t remember where I heard that! Nor can I remember one female who was there last year 🤷🏻‍♀️
 
Gorka probably got benched because they had a lack of short female celebs last year and they really wanted Neil to get a celeb so he got Alex who they probably thought was his best fit. Saffron & Michelle were both earmarked for AJ & Gio respectively whilst Kevin got Anneka as reigning champ. All of the others were really too tall for Gorka so he was left out in the cold sadly. :(

At least he's back now!

Spot on! Gorka's choreography has always been great, and not just because Alexandra and Maisie are great dancers - he manages to perfectly judge his routines to suit his celeb as seen when he was partnered with Katie. Compare with other pros who just over-dance when they have a duffer or showcase themselves bit too much when they have a ringer. The last two weeks his choreography has been some of the best I've seen on Strictly. And a massive middle finger to whoever thought it was a good idea to bench him last year (aka the most boring series ever)

Also it helps that he is insanely hot and clearly a devoted boyfriend and dad, also attractive qualities 😆

I like Aljaz and he has his niche on Strictly as the fun pro, but his routines can be very samey and I think he let Clara down a bit with her samba and jive

Neither her Cha Cha or Quickstep were especially up tempo iirc. Do they each do two dances in the semis? If she gets through I would like to see her do a samba or Charleston but I think it’ll be couple’s choice and/or rumba.

That rumour was doing the rounds but he put it on his Instagram that that definitely wasn’t the reason he wasn’t involved
 
Kinda struggling to guess who will win at this rate. I'd thought Bill was a cert to win a few weeks ago but he's plateaued.

I'd love HRVY or Maisie to take it - the really young celebs haven't won in years nor have the ringers. Doubt it will happen though. Plus, a Maisie win will probably mean we don't get much of Gorka's choreo next year.
 
I found the Judges tonight frustrating. It’s pretty clear they have a massive agenda and I can’t understand the massive praise for some of the celebs as compared to others.

It’s also clearly not a level playing field - it sounds as though some of them are still working alongside doing strictly whereas others have had the full week to prepare.
 
As a lover of the Argentine Tango I was looking forward to seeing Bill and Oti perform, they nailed it.

I've hardly watched this year, tonight was the second week I've watched.
 
I loved the Pro number - Priscilla is a great musical. We were meant to see it this year with Joe McFadden 😢😢😢

Now I'm not a fan of Hrvy but that routine was FAB-U-LOUS I noticed his wee slip at the beginning but it would have been harsh not to give a 10.

I even didn't mind JJ this week. But I still hope he goes.

I actually liked musical week this year 😀😀😀
 
Hrvy yet again trying to appear interesting and get headlines and votes by having a strictly romance. Has maisie actually ever said anything about this and it's starting to come across as a desperate relationship in his head only. He really is just copying the joe sugg playbook. I'm shocked he didn't try and make a move on Dianne 🤢

Once JJ hopefully goes today, this Uriah Heep needs to go next week. I bet if they just let Janette keep dancing in the competition she'd be fine as long as she wins

Couldn’t believe Amy. She brought out the military and the kilt for support and after the dance last night, said something about the physio couldn’t believe that JJ could do what he could with his injuries. Her competitiveness knows no bounds. It was crass and unprofessional and made me squirm.

But Johannes was the star of the show. He can move and dance better in heels than I can walk! Loved it. He was beaming with happiness which shows how miserable he really must have been with Caroline. I hope he gets someone fabulous next year!

I completely agree with this I couldn't take my eyes off him. All the group numbers were filmed beforehand weren't they? So it does illustrate your point in the sense that she stole some of his sunshine. Hopefully he's got it back again now!

I finally remembered it was when Kevin and Karen were married and they were both excited to get to the final together.
Edit: With the Harvey and Maisie rumours, how exactly are they going to be having any sort of ‘sparks’ if they aren’t allowed near each other? Every time I’ve seen something about it I always just think that. I know you can talk and get to know someone but realistically staying 2metres apart and probably not seeing each other that much isn’t really going to allow for anything to happen is it? I doubt Maisie is going to be wasting time flirting with Harvey when she’s pushed for training hours anyway because she’s still working.

Fingers crossed this is her last year - we don't need another Kevin who is desperate to win.
 
I watched on catch up this morning, just finished reading all your hilarious comments with a cuppa 😁 I have some thoughts:

- I don't fancy Gio at all, but after seeing him in that Go West performance, I am craving a tight slap from his fair hand.

- Johannes was the real MVP of the opening number, didn't he look fantastic!! And Gorka too!

- I thought Ranvir's segment was touching the way she talked about how she viewed her body and being a single mum. I loved her dance.

- Maisie looked professional but I preferred her dance last week. That hideous wig she wore distracted me throughout the whole routine.

- HRVY was irritatingly good 😬

- Bill and Oti are my favourites but I didn't like their Argentine Tango tonight. The music was awful. I couldn't stop staring at Oti the whole time though, WOWZA
