Steve’s vlogs #4. Always wishing away the week, Life with Steve looks very bleak 😬

Does she have a choice? I don’t think you can leave education now until your 18 or start an apprenticeship 🤷‍♀️ surely she can’t be home schooled ?
You’re right, however in reality I went to college when the new rule came in and as long as you started a course/apprenticeship, and you dropped out after there was no real consequence for it. I stayed until I was 18 then went to uni but some people I know dropped out within their first year.

Nobody checked up on you or anything as far as I am aware.

Except you won’t be able to claim universal credit until you turn 18 unless you have a child or get free prescriptions.

Honestly wouldn't be surprised if soph dropped out of college and became a second carer for lacey. Also would not be at all surprised if Steve didn't push for himself or soph to be diagnosed with long covid, or some chronic illness. He drives me nuts with his constant "not feeling right"

Certainly a dismissive attitude towards college from them all so far.

So there's a train strike..okay. Do buses run in Sleaford ? Can't Steve take her after the school run and pick her up later in the day even if its beyond the normal lesson time - might give her some extra time to stay at college a bit longer maybe you know integrate into college life a bit more...student clubs\activities do some extra study in the library...SOCIALISE WITH OTHER HUMAN BEINGS instead of rushing off home asap. Does her friend Rose chuck it in for the day at the first sign of trouble?

She will be lucky not to get kicked out after the first year at this rate. It's not school anymore if you're not hitting the grade they'll show you the door.

The poor girl she's had such an isolated upbringing as a result isn't very worldly or streetwise. She'll be 17 in a couple months I doubt they will get her driving lessons or anything that will aid her independence.

It's just a shrug of the shoulders from the dopey duo parents when any tiny barrier is put in the way of their normal routine and under no circumstances can Steves busy day of dozing on the sofa be disrupted in any way.

Haven’t watched his vlogs in ages but saw some more comments here so had a quick look at the latest one and didn’t get past 4 mins
what an absolute miserable , lazy, depressing life he leads.
Not even bothered to take sophie to college due to a train strike
Those kids are just becoming more and more isolated it seems and it’s sad to watch
and don’t even get me started on the size of that dog

I’m pretty sure there must be buses that run from Sleaford to Grantham, albeit a longer journey.

It’s like he enjoys finding a reason not for her to go to college, there’s so much more than just lessons to college life like you say! If you join a club or society at college it can make it so much more exciting! Just so sad she has no feelings of doing that despite leaving her school which made her feel horrible.

You are only young once and these are the years she will look back on and wish she did more. But with Steve he would rather keep her at home away from the big scary world. He may think he is protecting her but really he is encouraging massive anxiety and life is too short to stay hidden 24/7 until you are required to go out.

I say this as a homebody, doesn’t mean you need to constantly go out to enjoy the outside world. Even one or two trips a year can make the difference.

I really hope she does well at college for her own sake and dreams. Break the mold!

Oh my! Look what's for sale on Rach's ebay page 🙈

I see Sophie’s college attendance is so bad already. Surely it isn’t that far for Steve to take her instead.
I had a look and it's only 14 miles. I drive my daughter, who is autistic, 40 miles to college twice a week. I leave my house at 7am and we don't get back until around 4pm. I'm sure he could've driven her to college for the duration of the strike.

HAHAHA this is hilarious. Wonder if it was used on our Steve
It says it's new. Even if it is, how did they come by such a thing?? Was it sent for review? I mean you just don't go out and buy a £100 willy lengthener and not try it out, surely. Was it Bill's? I'd love to find out 😂

Could it be from his beloved Temu? Maybe it was a free gift.

I saw it for sale on Love Honey. That's my algorithms all gone to pot now then 😂
