I don’t like Stacey at all but losing a pet is heartbreaking. They’re like a part of the family. We lost our beautiful 11 year old lhasa apso Mollie on Christmas Day, we’ve had her since she was only 3 months old on 22/2/11 and I was only 9. She’s left a hole in my heart that won’t ever be filed

Wonder what the dog died of? Surely if there were any signs of it being ill they’d have taken her to the vet? No deets so am thinking poor Theo might have accidentally consumed some chocolate or a mince-pie lying around on Christmas Day.

with dogs it could be anything. With certain breeds their life expectancy can be shorter than others. Our Mollie’s life expectancy was 12-14yrs I’m sure but she made it to 11 years and she showed no signs of being unwell. The last time was around June this year and she was taken to the vets and treated and has been fine ever since. I guess her time was just up and her heart stopped beating early Christmas morning so it might’ve just been natural causes/old age etc

No deets so am thinking poor Theo might have accidentally consumed some chocolate or a mince-pie lying around on Christmas Day. This time of year is terrible for deaths of that nature- especially in smaller dogs where even just one raisin or a chunk of chocolate can kill them.

Such an awful downer on the festive period to lose a much-loved pet. Bloody devastating for them all.

Stacey is still a disingenuous twit tho.

Sounds like the vet came out to the house. That’s how I interpreted it.
I don’t see her just allowing her dog to be in pain dyeing.

Same. There’s no way the poor thing would have passed like that through toxic food. I imagine she went downhill quickly (often the case with older dogs who are very good at hiding pain) and the vets visited them at home. It’s the final act of love you can do for your pets and it’s absolutely heartbreaking, even though you know it’s right.

We lost our dog in August after battling an aggressive skin disease since birth, she was 9 💔 she deteriorated rapidly over the course of month. Went from being a lively happy dog, to being skinny, lethargic and developed a severe heart murmur. I didnt believe it at first when the vet told us it was time to let her go. Hardest thing I've ever done. My heart goes out to them, losing a pet is heartbreaking and I still think about our girl every day. I wonder if Theo might have had something going on that got suddenly worse bless her.

Im dont normally comment on her i actually like ss but chis are very prone to heart failure and other issues due to size my friend has 2 chis a 2 and 12 year old both with heart failure and at 11 she was an old dog sometime these thing happen i lost a pet boxing day he was perfectly healthy loud mouth on christmas no indication he was ill and i woke up boxing day hed past. Absolutly heartbreaking toblose a pet and there no need to blame anything she was an old dog who was loved till the end!
