Why would you want to live in a kitchen? I'd understand if it was open plan into an area you can put a sofa and TV in, but their kitchen just seems so long and narrow. In the space she pointed out for the moses basket I'd be putting a dog bed or crate in for Chip so he has a comfy quiet space to rest if he wants to get away from a screaming baby!

It's typical Sophie. She's got this idea in her head of this fairytale life living in a huge kitchen/diner like her sister. But her reality is a tiny little space. How she thinks they will cope with a sofa, that big table, Chip, Dave, and all the baby stuff in that area is beyond me. They've got a living room, no need to squash into the galley kitchen.

What confuses me is how they moved in but didn't have any shower gel/soap just one bottle of shampoo (which I would have used as shower gel in that situation). What were they using at Sophie's mum's house?! Oh yeah, mum's stuff!

I have an image of them sitting in the house, once all of the helpers have finished moving them in, watching DVDs and eating Domino's and drinking (in Sophie's words "cheap, cheap") squash and suddenly getting to bed time and not having pyjamas, face wash, toothbrush, clothes for the next day....

I agree she's trying to live out a dream she has in her head but that space is too small. The chairs already look too crowded around the table and that's before the sofa is in and a high chair will follow further down the line.

I also like the idea of cooking in the kitchen whilst the kids play in the dining area but I wouldn't want it as my main living space like Sophie is planning, it will be cold in the winter and who wants to live with food smells all the time.

Imagine Sophie, Dave, Barney and Chip squashed onto that one sofa like the intro to the Simpsons.

Cheap cheap squash. I'm sorry lady Sophie is only homemade cordial aloud ? Everyone drinks supermarket own squash....

I've just looked at her sisters Instagram page. Wow, what a difference! Does her sister work? I can see why Sophie wants to copy her though, her house is beautiful.

Yeah her sisters been really successful in marketing and her husband is also a director of a company and does acting on the side as a hobby ( but actually gets some good gigs he’s been in some ads) that’s how Dave and him met and he introduced him to Sophie’s sister! X

Does anyone know how them and jade and Matt became friends? I don't understand it. They come across on social media like they're all best friends but I cant remember seeing jade and matt at the wedding

I would say they are more acquaintances than friends.

I think Jade and Matt have turned a blind eye to Sophie and Dave's shortcomings as it doesn't have any impact on them, I think (and hope!) eyebrows may have been raised over the disregard their extremely kind gifts have been shown.

I like Jade and Matt and would like to see them distance themselves from the gruesome twosome.

They’re blatantly also going back to ‘mum’s house’ once a day to scrounge the internet to upload their vlogs too. If they haven’t got shower gel I doubt they’ve had enough sense to set up internet. They’ll be the kind of couple who don’t bother contacting the council or energy companies about registering the house and then get stuck with a massive bill come Autumn because they ‘didn’t realise they had to’.

I think she wants to be like a lot of the big influencers who have big open kitchen/diner/family rooms.
Like Stacey Solomon, Louise Pentland, Gi Fletcher etc.
It seems very fashionable now but her kitchen is too small for that. The table is currently push against the wall so to actually sit 4 people around it you'd have to pull it out but there won't be much room with the sofa there.

I'd have put a side board or bookshelf in that recess where she's putting a sofa. Nice place to store cookbooks, board games and even her new wine glasses that they're not going to use.
Kitchens always need more storage space.

Excuse me, they DO use the stemless wine glasses.... just last night they drank “literally” the only thing they had to drink in the house “cheap, cheap”squash in those very glasses!
