I almost think had Sophie been at home with her mum she’d have done some of these things much sooner or be able to express her concerns better, Dave seems like he just can’t think negatively/consider something’s wrong, I also think if she was at home barney wouldn’t have been under a blanket today! She’d be asking her mum for advice etc and get that in person reassurance

I felt like that whole vlog was a wish list of things they want to be sent to pobox or from companies. Had to laugh when she asked for someone to buy them wallpaper they saw from American company. She did say after it that of course they would like it was such an after thought !

Why waste money on expensive wallpaper shipped from the USA when you've only signed a 12 month tenancy and the landlord can turn around and say he wants it back? Also, they would have to remove it and paint it back to how it was originally before moving in. I'd save that for a property they own. They obviously know something we don't 🤷‍♀️

Are landlords insanely relaxed over in the UK or something? Over here you have to ask even before fixing things to walls and sticking pictures up incase it ruins the paint / wallpaper... The way they talk about their house seems like its either a family member's house or family friends, or if they've crazily bought it.
Well I thought about it a lot and maybe it is from someone they know? I even looked at rentals in that area, but I am not from the uk and don’t know where to look :’)
At first I thought het mom bought it and they rent it from her, but now that they said that about the ‘gym’ door I doubt that. Maybe a family friend? She also laughed in one video about the owner being a dog lover..

I think it varies depending on the landlord. The house I grew up in, my mum could do anything she wanted. When I moved in with my OH we had to get permission for big changes but they were pretty relaxed. I’ve known some people who haven’t been allowed to do anything or anything they do must be returned to normal before they move out. I’ve never had to buy my own blinds though but then I’ve always rented furnished property so maybe it is normal🤷‍♀️

It depends on each landlord. Some landlords won’t allow you to paint or redecorate, before we bought our home our landlord let us do anything we wanted aslong as we weren’t smashing any walls down 😂

I've never known a relaxed landlord. My friend is married with kids and she's not even allowed to hang their photos on the walls, let alone paint things or change too much. And certainly no pets!! I live with my folks at the moment and I'm always looking around here for houses just to gage prices and I NEVER find one that allows pets. Very suspicious if you ask me.

My folks own a couple of rental properties and are fairly relaxed about people decorating and pets, think it’s all down to the landlord. That doesn’t mean to say that they getting that house isn’t incredibly dodgy. They must have paid at least 6 months rent upfront (they had £10k in their back pockets at this point) and mummybelle must be guarantor. Why else would someone let out there property a pair of unemployed 30 somethings with a baby on the way

We own a 4 bed new build that we rent out. We allow a golden retriever dog.

Plus there were apparently lots of people interested. Why choose them??
