Solo travel advice & recommendations

Thanks everyone!!
I think with going solo abroad, I'm just worried I'll lose my passport (even though the times I've been on holiday with someone I have never done this!!) or I'll be kidnapped or human trafficked, which I know sounds daft but I just can't help but worry about it!

Porto is a great option - I went in March this year. The weather can be a bit iffy though so might want to go in the summer. I also went to Palma de Mallorca this year which was so much lovelier than I was expecting!
I went to Porto earlier this year and fell in love with it - not solo but I think I would have felt very safe if I was. Would recommend looking at a walking tour if you’re interested in the history of the place, and also a port tasting experience as well. Be warned though, the hills in Porto are some of the hilliest hills I’ve ever come across! 😂

Yesss I did a food tour which was great and included a lot of port tasting! The hills really were something else 😅 Also felt very safe being solo.

OKay. So I posted a couple of weeks ago about going to Edinbrugh a while ago. I've decided to go in March. I was going ot go by plane but after looking at parking price, it's actually cheaper to get the train. But I've always wanted to drive to Scotland (long family tradition whice I've never done!) so I'm tempted to go by train by myself but then see if my mum or friends want to come with me in the car to help spilt the cost.

But any other recommodations on where an axious female solo traveller can go? i really want to go on plane somewhere to Europe!
Copenhagen! It’s so easy to navigate, easy to walk too. Great public transport, picturesque and just a lovely, fun place to see. Never feels unsafe or dodgy. Quite pricey though!

Guys! I've done it. I've booked my train tickets and air bnb in Edinburgh for March! Might not be somewhere abroad in Europe but still technically another county!
Going Friday to Monday and I think I got a fairly cheap deal for travel and accomodation- £280 for both!

One small leap for man kind, but one giant leap for Boomska!

Enjoy Edinburgh is beautiful

Slightly off topic but any recommendations for websites where I'm not that fussed about where I go as long as I fly from LGW or LTN and it's warm

What kind of trip are you after? I love Portugal and the people are so friendly and warm.

I'm from South Africa so can also highly recommend that if you have a bit more money and want a longer trip. My opinion is if you need to fly over 8 hours then you need at least two weeks there. SA has so much diversity and you obv won't feel uncomfortable.
Forgot to ever respond. Thank you @GiftedNotFree for promoting me

I took your advise @OnlyHereForTheLolz
and visited Lisbon and enjoyed every second. Very lovely people and didn't feel out of place 💓

I did Budapest last year too...... didn't like it at all (for me)
