Sister Wives

I know someone in real life who didn’t handle the rejection from her ex husband even though he had divorced her about 20 years earlier. I remember one time being at a cafe with friends and the husband was there. It wasn’t long before she turned up dressed to the 9’s and all over him. It was one of those moments when you were mortified for her.

Question about Meris divorce to allow Cody & Robyn to marry. Did she really do that independently? Does it come out later they suggested it?

Not so far but my guess would be it was Kunty that planted the seed or Sobin because they were besties.

Although saying that, at the time, they all seemed to be genuinely worried they would lose Sobins kids to the ex so maybe it was her idea

Meri certainly wasn’t happy, but I think it was sold to her about the adoption of the kids and how important children were.

I'm still plodding on with my marathon of sister wives! Having only found it recently and up to date with the most recent 2 seasons, I wanted to see it from the start to work out the history and dynamics. I'm fast forwarding some boring episodes and a lot of the kids marriages etc. Up to season 14 now, so much to ask but of course I'm really behind for any live chat. 😂

But wtf was he thinking moving them from Vegas? I can't believe the upheaval, the financial impact, Meri getting chucked out of her rental, then potential fire evacuation, empty the fecking house again, Robyn having to move out of her rental, him moaning all the time about the costs of storage, moving etc. He made a huge error. The stress and upheaval on them all for the muppet Cody random I'll thought out idea . His secret meetings with the architect for the polygamist superhome. 😂 No wonder it all went tits up. He's really an unlikeable person but actually most of them have very unpleasant personality traits. The most likeable wife to me, is Janelle, I don't get the fuss about Christine having watched her earlier seasons. A lot of the kids are pretty obnoxious too. Maddie and Coben from the get go have an amazing relationship, Ash has just got married, Mykelti is married and is at a pretty unpleasant stage and Meriah has just announced her engagement. I found it interesting the family's acceptance of her and Adrienne living together yet the other girls had to have very quick courtship and engagements. Very much double standards. I'm interested to watch this next era and see the lead up to the boys relationships with their father break down. Many of the kids seem to see their father for what he is by now, an immature narcissist. Anyway, I keep going..... Need to get to the end of this marathon. 😂

I agree about Janelle, she's lovely, so are her kids.
Most of the older kids don't seem to have anything to do with kunty, cant say I blame them, he's publicly said he never loved their mum's, and as soon as a new baby arrived, he lost interest in them, he's a vile person.

He's is vile. A horrible and father and husband. Imagine saying things like that but being so stupid you don't realise how thta makes you look. He loved having kids running around him he could control. His ego living the multiple simultaneous pregnancies, personally I found that vile, more than once marrying the next when a previous was pregnant, it's disgusting. Janelle is definitely my favourite, always was hard working and really did seem committed to the marriage, actually was a very liberated woman in her thoughts and opinions also. I haven't yet seen her manipulative but have seen that from all the other 3, Christine was too full on 'look at me earth mom', I don't think always genuine in that either but it gave her a focus and 'role'. Meri, I go from feeling sorry for to thinking, jeez she's one angry female!! Robyn, odd glimpses of niceness but never really liked her.....and the crying! Give it a rest. 😂

Meri used to do my head in, he really didn't want her but didn't have balls enough to actually tell her, I think in his sick mind, he wanted them to leave him, so he could do the woe is me act. Specially that scene about the knife in the kidneys, how I laughed at that!!!

You're in for a real treat when you get to the COVID seasons. That's when Kody's true self is really brought to light. I hadn't watched for years, but came back and started from the beginning of COVID after Christine announced her divorce.

Supposedly, the move from LV to Flagstaff was because Dayton, Robin's oldest son, wanted to go to college there. So instead of letting him go, like a normal family would, Kody uprooted multiple families, moved them to another state, and then (spoiler alert) abandoned them during COVID. I'm so happy that Christine, Janelle and Meri all dumped his narcissistic @$$!

I'm just starting it... Bloody hell you forget about toilet roll shortages but the episode iwth Kody showing them how to use one sheet was hilarious. He's such a fuckwit isn't he? Can't even call his children, what an awful parent.
I'd read that on here about the move being for Daytons college, it's never mentioned but his announcement (Daytons) was awkward and felt out of the blue but what a terrible impact that move had on everyone. Looking back it was pretty disfunctional, regardless of your opinion. I had never realised the wives disliked one another so much, some from the outset. Why be so miserable?

Yes, that was the reason for the move, bloody Robyn's son, no wonder his own kids don't like him, being made to move because of that. Oh and how paranoid was he over covid, wasn't he really poorly over it, absolute load of crap, just an excuse for him to be with sobyn and not bother with his other wives and children, especially when Ysabel had spinal surgery, he wouldn't go, he really is one of the worst folks I've ever watched on reality tv.

Ive just watched the wedding part 2, lovely to see Christine and Janelles kids, though I didn't see Gwendolyn
( I know her and Padreon don't get on, apparently he was quite nasty to her?)
Sobbin Robyn saying plural marriage doesn't always work, no tit sherlock😅
