We got discovery + free for a year from sky and watch it on the app / smart tv

It’s definitely worth it if you can , it puts everything that has happened in the last series into context . Merri always wanting a huge house which totally stretches the family finances is interesting, and Jennelle has the first born of the family ‘Logan ‘ who is such a lovely well rounded young man . Logan isn’t seen in later series , he still lives in LV with his fiancé … he does an awful lot of parenting of the younger children.
I had also forgotten that Jenelles mother was married to Kody‘s dad , and they lived on a ranch in Wyoming , where her children spent most summers .

When did they drop Kody saying love should be multipled not divided or what ever it was he says in the opening credits ?
I'm watching the covid series and it's all very uncomfortable viewing seeing how detached they all are as a family now. I've missed loads of the previous series so might try to find them! Last time I watched they were building their homes on that mini estate they'd bought..what happened to them ?

Kody decided he wanted to move to Flagstaff because Vegas wasn't safe or didn't fit in with his beliefs. The real reason was that Robyn's eldest was going to uni in Flagstaff, so the family had to move because of that. They bought land called snake pass in Flagstaff and are supposed to be building houses on it. Kody wanted one big house, Janelle was keen, Christine was against it, can't remember what the other two thought. They decided to build separate houses like in Vegas. Janelle is now staying in an RV on the flagstaff land, but nothing has been built there. I think all of the Vegas houses have been sold now, so they should have enough money to build 3 houses on Flagstaff

the first episode they are all acting like they are happy families and all in love and it’s so so great and then very quickly you can see meri isn’t happy, Christine never wanted Robyn in the family. I mean who would when you’re8 months pregnant? Kody is a dick even back in series 1.

Thank you , I think I need to go back and try to find those episodes. I'm curious to see how and where it all started to fall apart !

I'd say from Robyn joining, but I think Meri and the cat fishing incident was the big catalyst. There are a couple of seasons where you need to fast forward when Meri is on and she talks about the cat fishing, it's so boring and the same thing conversation over and over again.

I think he's studying to become a doctor and doesn't want to be part of the show. I don't really think Kody had much to do with them, I'd say Janelle and Christine raised him, which is why he's not a t***.

I always felt so sorry for Logan. In the episodes where they are fleeing to Vegas he's expected to be another adult, and you can see how much he is raising his siblings. I'm so glad he moved out and got to live his life on his terms. Even the fact that he is living with his fiancée but not rushing to do a marriage shows how normal he is!

I also read that the mortgages they’d taken out to buy the Vegas properties had a balloon payment due after a few years and they couldn’t meet those as they were exorbitantly high. Basically I think they made poor financial decisions (no shock there) in order to get those houses and then couldn’t deal with the repercussions.
 
So I’ve just been crying watching Robyn give birth to Solomon and then offering to be Meris surrogate 🙈

Yes I’ve been watching on discovery from the beginning and watched that episode the other day! I had forgot all about the fitness centre thing. Did it even end up happening?!
 
I’m just watching latest ep. Ow it’s so obvious Sobbin Robin is running the show
can’t wait for the eps where Christine drops his ass

Ooof had to come back to say Gabriel asking Janelle is it dads rules or Robins
Janelle says it’s your dad Gabriel gives massive side eye that kid knows

I don’t think so! It’s clear how unhappy Christine is even back in these episodes.. and that’s like 10 years ago?! Meri seems happy in these episodes, you can tell she absolutely idolises kody 🙄 Janelle hasn’t changed one bit 🤣

Funny that out of all the teens, Mariah is the one who says she wants to be a poly wife!

Although, that was just to disguise her sexuality as we later found out. I've noticed that she doesn't seem to interact with her siblings on instagram
 
I’m just on series 6 where Merri divorces kody so he can marry Robyn and adopt her children… Merri is obsessed with Kody and obsessed with being centre of attention. We know the outcome , but it’s interesting to watch it play out . I like current Christine, but back then she was a nightmare and really confrontational, Robyn is actually ok and Kody isn’t as bad as he is now . Janelle is pretty much the same

I've never liked Robyn. I can't understand why Kody didn't divorce Robyn after the adoption and marry Meri again. I don't think the cat fishing would have happened then.
