Why do you keep quoting this one person donor when I clearly stated that Starmer has received freebies from more than 1 individual? Is it that difficult to understand? LOL

There's no need to be rude. What policies have they influenced?

Using “oh but the Tories…..” as an excuse for the behaviour of Labour politicians is pretty pathetic to be honest.

We’ve just seen through the veneer of bullshit a lot quicker with Keir et al as we’ve had plenty of practice with the last lot.

What I find laughable is the usual suspects remaining fairly quiet on the subject, deflecting, or trying to make out it is no big deal.

They weren't staying so quiet, or making out it was no big deal, when it was the Tories involved.

There are some massive double standards and utter hypocrisy at play by some.

It is amazing how blind to the truth some are, when they wear their favoured political party tinted glasses.

You can't backtrack now. People do have short memories of Jo Cox.
I am not in the least backtracking. Read the whole chain of comments! This whole part of the conversation was me saying I found a comment boring, then being told I was policing the thread - which at no point I did!

Then I said I didn't want to mute them either because I believe in the right to say whatever they want whether I found it boring or not and that it's fine as long as no one gets hurt!
Maybe that was unclear to you then fair enough, but that wasn't meant that way.

Totally off thread but can anyone help me? Every time I try to "like" a post it comes up with a screen to 'confirm" the action - and all of the "new" post signals disappear.

It's just started happening (within the last few minutes) and I don't know why. It's highly irritating - any suggestion as to what can be done? Ta.

You should ask on the support thread here

The reason people dislike this Labour lot and Starmer is because they present as pretentious know-it-all's when in fact they know duck all. I think most grounded reasonable people can except incompetence and even a medium level of bullshit and corruption, but they don't like being lectured to by muppets.

My political persuasion is very much small government is good government. Just stay out of my bleeping life. Here's the deal: I'll pay my taxes and you fill in the pot holes and teach kids to read and write. End of. Other than that, leave me alone. Labour seem intent on faffing about with labour laws, energy and private education (to name three off the top of my head). Ed Milliband is away with the bleeping fairies, by the time we've hit net zero (which we never will) the country will be bleeping bankrupt whilst China continues to thrive and pump-out C02.

Could not agree more. Government and the reach of the state has got bigger and bigger since the 1960s but with precious little to show for it. The Johnson Government was basically Gordon Brown in disguise, massive, massive public spending and borrowing and for what. Admittedly the disastrous self inflicted wound of lockdown played a big role in that but still.

Anyways, let's get back to Lolzing at Free Gier - much more fun.

So we've all now heard the rumours that the reason he was in Alli's house was because he'd been allegedly kicked out of his own, but he allegedly cunningly put of family pics to disguise that fact when he did a lockdown broadcast urging everyone else to...stay in their homes. Delicious irony there

Also Lord Alli's now being investiagted for his various dodgy business dealings...I've been saying since last week that this is the heart of the matter (alleged prime ministerial personal shenanigans are also v funny ofc but there is a serious element too) - glad it's now being looked into properly:

This lets us know where you are coming from. You are never going to like a labour government whatever they do

I see Yvette Cooper’s been found out having taken a Taylor Swift ticket when she previously denied it. More lies.
Who the duck was running the country on Taylor Swift concert night? Everybody was there by the sounds of it.

Tay Tay was running it obvs 🤣🤣🤣

Seriously tho I do not see Free Geir as a Swiftie. Sorry but no. That’s even less believable than when George Osborne claimed to be an NWA fan, which, speaking as a classic West Coast gangsta rap stan, shocked and hurt me deeply 🤣

There was quite a fashion at one point for politicians to declare their favourite artists, I remember that super cringe Nick Clegg interview where he said he cried to his old Smiths records 🤣🤣🤣

Her husband was given the tickets. The ticket was less than £170 so she didn't have to declare it but she still did.

How immoral.
