"I wonder does my sage machine miss me back" is her way of saying that her coffee machine is better than Roisin's. She has a free place to stay but is moaning about missing her coffee machine. Everything is a brag or a competition.

I went to bed early because I wanted to run today. Not spend time with my daughter not hung over. Not get out early and do something fun with my daughter. Nope. No way. Only went to bed early to do something she wanted to do.

Don't forget "It's so hard not to drink here" 🙄

Really? Cos I remember having 1 year olds and not having time to pee or eat, never mind fit in a daily sesh 🙄

Subject : What’s so different about The Self-Improvement Project?

Hi ,

Here’s a bit of a story-time.

I started online coaching back in 2015 (how is that nearly a decade ago?!) and back then nobody really knew what it was. I had recently become a PT but because of Instagram, I had people all over the world that wanted me to train them.

I started a very simple process of writing out a training plan, and calculating people’s calories. I was flat out, and eventually I went fully online. I was maxed out because my systems weren’t great, but I really cared about getting people results.

So a guy I know suggested doing some online course that was low cost and simple to use that didn’t require much work from me day-to-day.

The OH Fitness Factory was born.

And it was brutal.

I cringe so bad when anyone tells me they did it.

It was all home workouts and loose nutrition guidelines, which was not really what I believed in back then.

I wanted people doing Hypertrophy training and counting their macros.

And so, OH Fitness Furnace was created.

The first version of that was also brutal.

But then I started building out my team, and that changed everything. It was all about how we coached women, that seemed to be different to other hardcore coaches (and probably me at the start!)

I somehow got blessed with some women that helped me (and my clients) realise that women are complicated beings, that probably need more than just a training plan and a macro plan.

We had Aoife, Kate, Lynn, Caireann, Hazel, and the person who changed everything - Cory.

The one thing that really is common with all of us, is that we were completely client-driven.

This doesn’t just mean getting the client the results they want (which would be great for business), but we only wanted to do it in a way that left the client in a better place after their time with us.

I can’t speak for everyone but a few of us had been subjected to coaches that just wanted to change the shape of our bodies, but didn’t consider the long-term effects of dieting or overtraining.

We have always wanted to do better.

Over the years, I was constantly studying nutrition, psychology and physiology, so I wanted to update my coaching courses.

We had OH Fitness Furnace 2.0, 3.0 and eventually by 4.0 I went off on my own (after having a business partner over the years).

The 4.0 version was the closest thing to perfect that we could do, without investing in our own app (which I had out huge money into a few years before but it wasn’t good enough so I scrapped it). I was proud of the results we were getting physically and mentally for so many women that used to be tied up in diet culture.

And we did it without using transformation photos, or sleazy sales tactics. If anyone even seemed at risk of a possible eating disorder, we would refund straight away. That part used to annoy some people but we were always so aware of our scope of practice and really cared about not damaging anyone’s relationship with food or the body any further.

In recent years, I have realised that the best thing that we can do for people is help them find peace of mind when it comes to training and nutrition. People have busy lives, and they need an app that is easy to use, but also valuable.

And they still need coaches that care.

So if you have signed up to a program before that has promised life-changing results, and you didn’t get them - it’s not a you problem, it’s the coach’s problem.

We are problem-solvers, and our roles have morphed from training and nutrition plans (which are obviously included), to helping people find self-compassion, setting realistic goals, and supporting them along the windy road.

And we have an app to deliver it - which makes everything easier. We also have a full education section with yoga and meditations too. We have a women’s health physio that covers several women’s health subjects, including pre- and post- natal.

So to summarise, I don’t really know what anyone else is doing in their online coaching programs, but we have seen so many clients come to us after trying the 6-week-transformations etc, and other programs that promised the world but blame the client when they inevitably don’t get or sustain the results.

The main difference is that we are terrible at marketing.

I’m hoping to take someone on soon, but it’s hard to find somebody that understands our ethos when it comes to marketing something like this.

Hence this big long email.

And the free trial.

We are so confident that you will see the benefits of joining, that you can sign up for free and just cancel within the 10 days if it’s not for you. We give this amount of time so that you have time to look around the app, chat to your coach (Myself, Cory or Hazel), and get your first full check-in done a week later.

You can sign up <here>

Thanks for reading this far!

"the person who changed everything - Cory"

That the same Cory who worked for you for years but you didn't bother your hole to so much as buy a coffee for until 2024?

And admitting the Furnace Factory was a pile of shite, money for old rope, that didn't align with her values - BUT SHE TOOK PEOPLES MONEY ANYWAY?!!!!

"So a guy I know suggested doing some online course that was low cost and simple to use that didn’t require much work from me day-to-day"
I wanted an easy way to make money for as little effort as possible

"Over the years, I was constantly studying nutrition, psychology and physiology, so I wanted to update my coaching courses"
I didn't, but this sounds good. I started a pre/post natal course to scam money off women at a vulnerable time in their lives, but couldn't be arsed finishing it so did a mickey mouse Yoga teaching course, despite being as flexible at the Tin Man

"The 4.0 version was the closest thing to perfect that we could do, without investing in our own app (which I had put huge money into a few years before but it wasn’t good enough so I scrapped it)"
I wasted a tit ton of money trying to match/catch up with the likes of James Smith/Diren Kartel etc but totally missed the boat

"I don’t really know what anyone else is doing in their online coaching program"
I couldn't care less - give me your money. Even though other programs are more affordable and offer more (professional) support

"but it’s hard to find somebody that understands our ethos when it comes to marketing something like this"
I need someone to bring in the cash regardless, and dress it up as 'we only care about you- not the money'

Enlightening...

Jesus, I can't believe this is an actual email.

As someone who works in marketing, everything about this goes against what you should send customers. It's too long, too self-involved, provides no actual information to the product/service you're offering, shows that you are not researching your competition, and it comes across as a begging email.#

She really shouldn't be let send out emails.

As someone who works in marketing, if your selling a fitness and lifestyle programme, what's the industry standard on letting your client list know you got the ride on holidays?

Exactly! Admitting the furnace/ factory was shite....so what's to say the SIP isn't shite as well!
She's admitted she's churned out "brutal" programmes!

God she hasn't a clue!
