Financing cars is one of the most ridiculous expenditures in certain situations. I learned that lesson in my early 20s. It used to kill me to see the money go out every month. It's much easier now to get finance. Garages dangle it like a carrot on a stick because they know people are easily tempted...

Financing a 50k car living at home is utterly ridiculous alright if that's the case.

Fully believe he'd get that car on finance to lower child support. I'd actually rather believe that, than believe he's so superficial he had to buy a brand new Audi "family style" car just to keep up appearances. Can't be seen in public driving a 2016 Nissa or summit.

If it's the latter, it must really kill Shiv that he's not interested in dating her. Just think about it...he practically pretends she doesn't exist. You can tell in in few videos he's appeared in, that's hes cordial at most. So, he can't find her good looking, sexy, no chemistry, doesn't hold any social value (networking, follower count, adoring fans etc). She literally holds zero value to him minus the baby. Even as a guaranteed shag for him! And this is after it seemed he TRIED (with the few dates they did go on in Dec). She must be devasted! duck me.

Even taking rent into consideration, only a portion of shivs rent is attributable to baby, so he’d be paying towards baby’s portion not hers. Maintenance is a total joke in this country, I was awarded €12.70 back in the day which wouldn’t even buy a box of formula or nappies, never mind anything else. Most people do better with maintenance by staying out of court & iirc the max a custodial parent can be awarded through court is €150 per child per week, plus half of incidental costs (medical, Christmas, school, sports etc). Being awarded maintenance & getting it in your pocket are totally different though as far too many people have experienced; even with bench warrants being issued against non payers!

I feel so sorry for this poor baby, and would looooove to know what went on with her family that she can’t be at home. It’s been pointed out plenty of times that the rent she’s paid would be a deposit on a house somewhere outside the city, and sure it’s not family keeping her in Dublin. She’s in for such a hard time but she’ll never admit it, she’ll simply change her values again.

Maintenance in Ireland is a joke I know a few of the ladies have discussed here before but I've friends getting maintenance and I've family member who is a solicitor. My friend gets 60 euro a week maintenance and that's considered "good" 😂😂

Shiv owns a property in ireland and an apt in Manchester.....why would Ned need to pay for a 3rd. That's seems like a SOH problem to me.
