Probably cause she reverts back to teenage mode (I say reverts but she lives in teenage mode 24/7) when she’s around them, she’s essentially admitting this with her dismissal going back to the box room in swords being a death sentence back to her childhood. She only hangs out with them if she can put them down or show off how great/how much money she makes and is “spoiling” them. I wouldn’t be surprised if her mam said she shouldn’t have given up her job and that’s how she rubs it back in her face. It’s clear as day they have issues between them.
 
Just watched her chat in the apartment about the polished strips to the end, she says she think she might go for a swim and then looks up as though there’s someone else in the house. Then says she’ll need to wash her hair and see if she can be “convinced” defo trying to insinuate Ned is trying to coax her for a beach swim.

She’s also putting on a pathetic trying to be cute baby voice at the beginning too when she talks about Bali. Potentially is there and likely she’s giving him even more of the ick than he already has
